This new unlock allows players to claim the powerful loot housed inside the New Sanctuary vault, equipping them for the rest of the Showdown in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2. Fortnite The Seven Compound Vault Key Location
Just like the Ice King Fortnite vault card, players don’t have to defeat any enemies or bosses in Chapter 7 Season 2 to acquire the Fortnite Seven Compound Vault Key. Instead, you have to slightly rely on your luck when looking for this New Sanctuary vault key. This is because The Seven Compound Vault Key does not have a fixed spawn. Rather, it can spawn in 3 different locations around New Sanctuary POI in Fortnite.
All of these spawns are inside the small security checkpoint towers that surround the main reactor, located at the many entrances to the New Sanctuary POI. If you don’t find the card at one of these spawns, you can check out the other two locations marked on the map above.
How to Open the Vault in New Sanctuary in Fortnite: The Seven Compound Vault Location
After you have acquired the elusive The Seven Compound Vault keycard, it is time to put it to good use. Here are the steps you can follow to find and unlock the New Sanctuary Vault in Fortnite:
- Once you have the keycard, head to the main reactor building.
- Inside the reactor building, locate one of the many ziplines that take you to the basement area of New Sanctuary.
- Upon entering the basement area, you will notice a large blue gate within the quarters. This is the Fortnite Seven Compound Vault.
- Walk up to the console next to the blue gate and press Interact (Square/X on Controller or E on Keyboard) to unlock the vault.
- Wait a minute as the door opens, and enjoy the loot that you have earned.
Since the New Sanctuary Vault is located in a closed-off basement, you are likely to run into players camping The Seven Compound vault in a Fortnite match and hoping to catch you off guard. Make sure to keep an eye out for these campers, and maybe even try hiring the Foundation to have someone watch your back while unlocking the vault.
