Blitz Royale was originally scheduled to sunset in July 2025, but due to its popularity, Epic Games extended it until 2027, with CEO Tim Sweeney hinting at its long-term availability. Building on this success, Epic recently announced the Blitz Mobile Cups, which are exclusive tournaments for mobile users where they can win some exclusive cosmetic items.
How to Claim Fortnite Nite Unit Marksman Skin and Items for Free
Epic Games just announced the Fortnite Solo Blitz Mobile Cup, an exciting competitive event designed specifically for mobile gamers, which will take place starting August 23, 2025, and will continue every Thursday.
This fast-paced Zero Build tournament includes the Blitz Royale mode, in which 32 players compete on a small area for short, furious rounds lasting less than five minutes. The tournament focuses on solo play, with players starting with similar medallions or unique weaponry to level the playing field.
Participants can receive free rewards depending on their performance. Scoring 5 points unlocks the First Response Tac Pack Back Bling, while 20 points unlocks the Gavel Banger Emote. Top placement players, ranging from 350 to 1,600 (depending on region), will earn the NITE Unit Marksman Outfit, while those ranked 350 to 3,450 will receive the NITE Unit Tac Axe Pickaxe.
The tournament’s scoring system encourages eliminations and survival, while Blitz Levels provide meta weapons and power-ups. This mobile-only cup exemplifies Epic’s emphasis on accessibility and competitive enjoyment, enabling users to jump into the action and strive for victory on the go.
