The Ice King’s Castle
Possibly the most interesting part of the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 map changes is the Ice King’s castle. The upcoming season is all set to feature the Ice King and the Foundation going head-to-head, and the Ice King is bringing his iconic castle with him. The new POI will be a more in-depth version of the castle players saw in Chapter 1 Season 7, and will feature some of the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 Battle Pass skins in it as the Ice King’s trophies.
This map change ties into the ongoing storyline, as the recent Fortnite OG Ice King event featured the return of the character with a remixed look. With the storyline getting a lot more attention lately, fans of the lore will definitely enjoy exploring this new POI.
Atlantis POI
Another map change coming to Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 is the new Atlantis POI, which was featured in the Showdown cinematic trailer. We got a small glimpse of this POI when the Dark Voyager interrogated Fishstick regarding his home reality, which housed a Zero Point shard. Not only will this POI be making an appearance, but players can also expect aquatic characters from Atlantis to also make their way to the Fortnite Item Shop during Chapter 7 Season 2.
Desert Biome POI
Finally, the POI we know the least about is the mysterious location in the Chapter 7 desert biome, possibly replacing the Painted Palms location. It isn’t clear whether this POI will just be another addition to the Fortnite Chapter 7 map or a complete overhaul of the northeast corner of the map.
