  • Players can double XP gain for a limited time by using XP Tokens, mostly earned by completing challenges.
  • XP can also be farmed easily by finding specific maps in Battlefield Portal.

Weapon and character progression can be painfully slow in Battlefield 6, leaving many players to wonder if there’s any way to boost the XP gain. The simple answer to this is to invest more hours into the game and prioritize the weapons you’re eager to level up, but there are a few other pointers worth taking note of as well. On that note, here are the best ways to get XP in Battlefield 6.

How to Get XP Fast in Battlefield 6

Below, we’ve laid out all of the best ways to farm XP quickly in Battlefield 6. One thing we haven’t mentioned is the Double XP events that will likely be held in the coming weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for any announcements.

Know Your Role

As mentioned at the start, the best method to get more XP in Battlefield 6 is simply by playing the game. You’ll earn XP for doing various things in multiplayer, such as racking up kills, completing objectives, suppressing enemies, and more. To earn more XP consistently, however, you’ll need to fulfill the role your chosen Class entails on the battlefield.

For instance, if you’re playing Support, reviving teammates will net you half as much XP as an elimination. And with most maps being veritable meatgrinders, you’ll find it much easier to revive multiple friendlies than chain together kills. Depending on your Class, here’s what you should be focusing on to get more XP:

  • Assault: Rack up kills and focus on capturing objectives
  • Recon: Spot enemies on the map to assist your teammates
  • Engineer: Repair friendly vehicles and destroy enemy trucks, tanks, and aerial fighters
  • Support: Revive teammates and put down resupply packs frequently

Use Tokens

This one’s fairly obvious, but if you want to boost XP gain for specific durations, then make sure to use your XP Tokens. At the moment, XP Tokens can be earned by completing in-game challenges, but Dice will occasionally hand them out as compensation as well. Once active, you’ll gain Double XP for every action during matches, which is certainly pretty handy.

It’s important to keep in mind that XP Tokens count down in real-time. So, if you redeem an hour’s worth of tokens and turn off the game, its expiry counter will continue to tick. Make sure to use every second before its active duration ends.

Farm XP on Portal Maps

Battlefield Portal, as many players will know, is the in-game hub for user-generated Battlefield 6 content. Using the tool, players can create custom maps or set up servers with certain modifiers and restrictions enabled. Just like Fortnite UEFN, where players often drop into designated XP farming modes, the Battlefield community has also been busy putting together Portal maps where it’s easier to earn XP.

These servers are typically set on smaller maps with Breakthrough being the mode of choice. Sometimes they’ll also feature bots as enemies to make things easier. Regardless of the modifiers, you’ll earn the same amount of XP as standard maps, making it a really effective way to level up weapons.

Unfortunately, EA has been quick to clamp down on farming maps, but you can still find these servers pretty easily. A dead giveaway is their titles, so look for mentions of ‘XP Farm’ or ‘Bot Only’ maps to get started.

And that wraps up our guide on the best ways to get XP in Battlefield 6. How are you finding the game so far? Let us know in the comments.
