• 1 Coal or charcoal
• 1 Stick

Yes, that’s it. Sticks are items you get by combining two planks or bamboo vertically in the crafting grid. The coal is an item you can get by mining naturally generated coal ore.

How to Make Torches in Minecraft

Torch recipe is so simple you don’t even need a Minecraft crafting table. All that’s needed is two vertically adjacent slots. So, follow the steps below to make torches in Minecraft:

• Open your inventory using the E key.
• Now, pick one of the two upper slots of the 2×2 crafting grid and place the coal or charcoal there.
• Place the stick directly below it.
• After that, you’ll see the torch icon appearing on the right. Click on it to craft them.

• You can place the maximum number of coal/charcoal and sticks if you want, which is 64 and by combining them you’ll get four stacks of torches.
