Skins or Outfits are a key part of Fortnite and Epic Games does not shy away from introducing new ones. With many outfits in the catalog already, Fortnite got a major style upgrade with the introduction of Kicks in Chapter 2 Remix. This brand-new cosmetic feature lets you customize your favorite characters with cool sneakers. Want to know what Fortnite Kicks are and how to get them? Keep reading as we break these amazing shoes down for you.
What Are Kicks in Fortnite?
Kicks in Fortnite are basically custom shoes that you can add to your Fortnite outfits. Think of them as another way to make your character stand out in the game, just like you would with skins or emotes. Epic Games is partnering with real-world brands like Nike and Jordan, along with creating their own original Fortnite shoe designs.
To celebrate the launch, Epic also gave everyone a free ‘Show ‘Em Off’ emote! away. The players who hopped into the shop between November 21 at 7 PM ET and December 1 at 7 PM ET could grab it for absolutely free (0 V-Bucks). However, with more Kicks coming regularly, we can expect Fortnite to give away Kicks for free as well just like their free skins.
How to Get Kicks in Fortnite
1. Through the Battle Pass
The game initially offered a pair of Air Jordans as a part of the Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix Battle Pass, which costs 950 V-Bucks. By completing both Week Zero and Week One Quests, you could unlock these shoes. Since then, Fortnite has been including Kicks as rewards in the Battle Pass. This is the most cost-effective way to get your pair of Kicks if you already plan on getting the Battle Pass.
2. From the Item Shop
If you prefer more variety or don’t want to get the Battle Pass, you can visit the Item Shop. Here are all the early released Fortnite Kicks that launched on November 21:
First Drop (November 21-26):
Nike Cortez Leather OG (800 V-Bucks) Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Galaxy’ (1,000 V-Bucks) Nike Shox R4 ‘Comet Red’ (1,000 V-Bucks) Chomp Stompers (600 V-Bucks)
Second Drop (November 22-26):
Air Jordan 3 Retro ‘Palomino’ (800 V-Bucks) Air Jordan 3 ‘Black Cement-Gray’ (1,000 V-Bucks) Air Jordan 11 ‘Black/Gym Red’ (1,000 V-Bucks) Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘Manila’ (1,000 V-Bucks)
Since the release, Epic Games added a lot of Kicks in the Item Shop. Want to see every single pair of Kicks available in the game? Check out our complete Guide to Every Fortnite Kick – we’ve got you covered with all the details!

And it gets better – Epic Games is working hard to make Kicks compatible with about 95% of all outfits by Spring 2025! We can expect to see more brand collaborations, unique designs, and possibly even special event-themed shoes in the future
Whether you’re a sneakerhead in real life or just want to make your character look more stylish, Kicks offers a fresh way to express yourself in Fortnite. Just remember to complete those Battle Pass quests or grab your favorite pair from the Item Shop.
