Among all the new obtainable units added in Anime Vanguards, Toji (aka Tuji) is one of the easiest exclusive ones to obtain. Despite being easy to get, you need to jump through a few hoops to add the sorcerer killer to your roster for his raw damage output. How to Obtain Toji in Anime Vanguards
Once you clear the Shibuya Station Story stage Act 6, you will get a special item called the Cursed Worm. So, that sorts all the questions of how you can get Cursed Worm. You can only obtain Toji by completing the Cursed Worm requirements in the game. Here are all the steps to complete the tasks to get the Toji unit:
Step 1: Kill Cursed Bosses
After you get the Cursed Worm, you can see the requirements to obtain Toji when you hover over it. You must kill four cursed bosses from the Shibuya stages for the first task. In Shibuya Station Story Stage Act 1, you will find the first boss Dogon. You can find and kill Transfigured Mahato in Shibuya Station Story stage Act 6.
For the other two bosses, you must go to Shibuya Aftermath (Legend) stages Act 1 and 2 to kill Jag-o and Sukono. You can also find all these bosses in the Shibuya Station Infinite mode, but their spawn rate can be random. So, we suggest you complete the tasks from the story first and then move to the legend stages.
Step 2: Sacrifice Evolved JJK Unit
After you have defeated the bosses, you will see the progress bar change in your Cursed Worm item. To complete the second task, you must sacrifice an evolved unit from the Anime Vanguards update 1. We sacrificed Todu unleashed. Todu is easy to get from the gem rolls with a 43% chance to spawn. To evolve Todu, you need 12 Broken Pendants and some other common upgrade materials. You can evolve any other unit from the latest update as well.
Once you evolve a unit from the latest update, go to your inventory, click on the Cursed Worm, and sacrifice your evolved unit. This will consume the unit completely and task 2 will be completed. You can get Gems from Anime Vanguards codes to keep rolling for units you need for the sacrifice.
Step 3: Kill Reanimated Tuji
With two tasks out of the way, you will see the final step under your Cursed Worm item in your AV inventory. For the final task, you must Kill the “Reanimated Tuji” boss from the Shibuya Station Story stage Act 2.
This will drop a guaranteed Toji unit as your level completion reward. You also have a chance to get a shiny Toji from the drop.
How to Evolve Toji in Anime Vanguards
To evolve Toji in the game, you first need to rack up 5000 mob kills using this unit. After you have completed the takedowns, you will need the following items to get Toji evolved:
- 1 Cursed Worm
- 40 Green Essence Stones
- 15 Blue Essence Stones
- 15 Purple Essence Stones
- 15 Red Essence Stones
- 4 Rainbow Essence Stone
After you gather the required materials and complete the takedown quota, spend 30,000 Gold to evolve Toji in Anime Vanguards.
The evolved version of Toji is called Toji (Sorcerer Killer) and gets one additional passive called Challenging Infinity. This passive increases RNG by +20%, attacks remove shields, and ignores damage reduction. DMG is also increased by +30% until an enemy is killed after removing shields.
Best Traits for Toji in Anime Vanguards
As soon as you get Toji, you must go to the traits roll option in Anime Vanguards and get your unit a suitable trait. For a normal Toji, Ethereal or Blitz can be ideal. Ethereal increases your DPS by 50 while Blitz adds 25 DPS. Both go with Toji’s passive Heavenly Body that increases DMG further for not having any buff. If you are using the evolved Toji (Sorcerer Killer), then Monarch can be one of the best traits for him. Having a Monarch Toji evolved can easily amp up your damage up to 344.4% just from traits.
