Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an exploration-heavy Open World RPG. The open world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is vast, much bigger than the prequel, and filled with content at every corner. Making exploration enjoyable is very important for an open-world game, and Dragon’s Dogma 2 has definitely done that. However, even though traveling is highly enjoyable in Dragon’s Dogma 2, fast travel is equally important to quickly reach the main hub spots of the game to stock resources, learn skills, or turn in quests. Fast traveling in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a bit complicated and new players to the series are having issues understanding it. Here is a complete guide on how to fast travel in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Using Ferry Stones to Fast Travel in Dragons Dogma 2

Dragon’s Dogma 2 has two ways to fast travel from one location to another, and both methods are very limited compared to other games. The two fast-traveling methods in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are Portcrystals and Ox Carts.

Fast Travel in Dragon’s Dogma 2 Using Portcrystals

Portcrystals are the staple way of Fast Traveling in the Dragon’s Dogma game series. So what are they? Portcrystals are items that allow players to fast travel by expending another item called Ferry Stones.

Players can use Ferry Stones and use it to travel to any of the locations a Portcrystal is located. Now, Portcrystals are fixed in some of the main spots around the map, however, players can find more Portcrystals and put them anywhere they want on the map to create a fast travel point.

The Ferry Stones required to fast travel using Portcrystals can be purchased from merchants or looted in the open world. The Ferry Stones are quite expensive, 10k gold for each, so it really limits Fast Traveling in the game. You can find Ferry Stones by purchasing them early from Philbert’s Sundries in Vernworth.

Fast Travel in Dragon’s Dogma 2 Using Ox Carts

Oxcarts are the newly added Fast Travel mechanic in the Dragon’s Dogma game series. They are traveling carts that players can ride to reach their destination quickly, but there is a catch. Ox Carts can be ambushed mid-path, and players must fend off the attackers before restarting the travel. Also, Ox Carts are only available in the morning and travel to specific locations only, like cities.

Ox cCrts can get destroyed by enemy hits, and if not taken care of, players will find themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere.

You can find Ox Cart stations in cities and talk with them to find out where they are heading. Players can choose to enjoy the scenery while traveling on the Ox cart, or simply doze off, to skip the traveling.
