How to Enable Cheats When Creating a Minecraft World

Bedrock

• When you’re in the Create New World menu, access the Cheats tab and then click on the first “Cheats” setting to enable cheats in this Minecraft world. This means you’ll be able to use commands and switch game modes even in the survival world.

Java

On Java, this mechanic is a bit different. If you made a survival world initially and you allowed cheats through the LAN world, then you can simply close that world and open it again. This will reset the world and remove access to cheats. The game mode will not reset, so make sure you switch back to survival before exiting.

However, if you initially created a creative mode world with cheats enabled, you cannot disable cheats. Though, you can disable cheats while creating a creative world and it will be possible for you to enable them through the LAN option and then disable them when you restart the world.
