Honkai Star Rail 3.8 will take players back to Penacony to fill the plot holes during the earlier Penacony arc. With Honkai Star Rail 4.0 appearing on the horizon, with a new world and exciting characters, you surely want to know whether the 3.8 banners are worth pulling. The Honkai Star Rail 3.8 banners will include three phases and six 5-star characters. If you are unsure about who to pull, here is a list of the best characters you should pull in Honkai Star Rail 3.8, with their pull priority.

1. Sunday

Sunday is currently considered one of the best hypercarry supports in Honkai Star Rail. He can provide immense value to any team. From action-forwarding allies, recharging Energy, and giving extremely powerful buffs, Sunday has everything in his kit. With the correct Honkai Star Rail Sunday build, you can almost double your hypercarries’ damage output in the game. So, he should be the highest priority character in the Honkai Star Rail 3.8 banners, if you already don’t have him.

2. The Dahlia

The Dahlia is the new character featured in Honkai Star Rail 3.8. She is an unbelievable Break support and has single-handedly brought Break DMG back into the meta. If you want to use a Break team in the game, you have to pull for The Dahlia in version 3.8. She allows Super Break DMG for the team without the need to break the toughness bar of the enemy. The Dahlia can also apply ally elements as weaknesses on enemies and shred enemy defense. All of this makes the Dahlia the second-highest-priority character in the 3.8 version.

3. Firefly

If you plan to pull for The Dahlia but don’t have Firefly, you need to get her in the upcoming banners. Firefly was considered one of the best DPS in Honkai Star Rail until Break DMG went out of meta. With The Dahlia becoming playable, Firefly has returned to the top flight. She is back to being one of the best DPS in the game, but only if paired alongside Dahlia. If you want a good Break DPS, then there is none better than Firefly in Honkai Star Rail.

4. Lingsha

The next on the pull order for Honkai Star Rail 3.8 banners is Lingsha. She is terrific sustain with strong heals and cleansing ability. Lingsha is also a fairly good damage dealer and can even play as a DPS for very specific teams. However, her true value comes in a Break team as she can buff the break damage received by enemies. With Lingsha’s best build, she can become an asset for any team. If you wanted a good sustain for your teams, then Lingsha is a great option to pull in the banners.

5. Fugue

Fugue in Honkai Star Rail was the best Break support before Dahlia arrived. She remains a good character and continues to enhance every Break DPS character. However, her value has surely diminished as you have Harmony Trailblazer, a free character, for the other support slot in a Break team. Although Fugue is better than Harmony Trailblazer, her value as a 5-star character is not high enough to justify pulling her in version 3.8. Only go for Fugue if you want to complete your premium Break team.

6. Aglaea

Finally, Aglaea is easily the least priority character in the 3.8 banners. Although I love Aglaea’s character design, her kit is very underwhelming and requires very particular support to become good. With so many great Lightning DPS units in the game, Aglaea’s value is very low and will continue to decline in the upcoming versions.

So, this is my priority list for Honkai Star Rail 3.8 banners. The ranked list here is based on the character’s general performance and future potential. But do not let this list stop you from getting the characters you truly want for yourself.
