How to Use Wanted Posters in Fortnite Treasure Hunters

Similar to Cheat Codes in Fortnite, you need to interact with Wanted Posters to use them. They function as Treasure Maps that point the way to Buried Sprite Chests. Once you reach the designated location, you need to use your Pickaxe to dig up the chest and claim your reward. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:

  • Find Wanted Posters using the map.
  • Interact with it to get a Sprite Treasure Map and add it to your inventory.
  • Equip it to see a red dotted line that shows you the direction in which you need to go.
  • Follow the red dotted line till you reach an “X Marks the Spot”.
  • Use your Pickaxe to dig up the buried chest.
  • Interact with the chest to get a Sprite or a free Treasure Hunt Chest reward.
  • Using Wanted Poster in Fortnite to get Treasure Map
  • Following Treasure Map to find Buried Chest and using Pickaxe to dig it up

Keep in mind that there’s no limit to how many Wanted Posters you can interact with in a Battle Royale or Zero Build match, but you can only carry one at a time. However, don’t focus solely on collecting Sprites, as there are Fortnite Treasure Hunters Quests to complete as well for rewards.

Important Note: If your teammate or an opponent nearby uses a Lucky Locator to locate a buried Sprite Chest and opens it, the Sprite Treasure Map in your inventory will disappear, and you won’t be able to use it again.
