Fortnite players are in for a real treat this weekend as the much-awaited Daft Punk event has finally arrived, and soon the experience will go live for everyone. Fans will be able to dive into multiple islands in the experience and play iconic Daft Punk performances and even recreate music videos for some of their favorite songs from the duo.
Since the event is not a live event, rather an experience that will go live on the Discover playlist, Epic is hosting a launch party tomorrow, right when the Daft Punk Experience goes live. To celebrate the event, Fortnite is granting attendees a free pair of groovy Kicks called Waveform Walkers for a limited time. Here’s how you can grab yours.
How to Get Free Waveform Walkers Daft Punk Kicks in Fortnite
To claim the free Waveform Walkers Kicks in Fortnite, players will need to queue up in the Daft Punk Experience on September 27 at 1:30 PM onwards and attend the opening party from 2 PM to 3 PM.
If you attend the full launch party during that period, you’ll be eligible for a free pair of Kicks. The cosmetic item will be granted to eligible players in-game starting September 29. This means you’ll automatically be granted, and they will appear in your locker.
The Kicks feature animated waveforms that are speculated to be reactive to music, similar to the LEGO Fortnite Daft Punk Pyramid, which is already gaining popularity among fans. Daft Punk skins are already live in Fortnite, and it’s just a matter of hours before you’ll be able to experience the music of the iconic duo over and over again.
Players will also be able to earn XP with special in-game quests that will be revealed once the event playlist is live in Discover. While the experience is said not to be made in UEFN, it’s highly likely Epic is experimenting a new form of events which we can see in the foreseeable future.
