To ensure you don’t miss a second, Epic recommends logging into Fortnite early. The “Death Star Sabotage” event tile will go live in the Discover tab at 9:00 AM PT. That gives you plenty of time to load in, squad up, and get ready. You’ll even be able to pilot an X-wing or an Imperial TIE fighter in the pre-event lead-up. Once the countdown hits zero, the mission to destroy the Death Star begins!

Live events are popular and often increase Fortnite player count, so it’s best to jump in ahead of time. Plus, the event supports parties of up to four players, so grab your squad and prepare for battle.
How to Watch the Fortnite Galactic Battle Finale Event
Multiple options are available this year to watch the Fortnite Death Star Sabotage event live. The event will be live on the Discover tab early for PC and Console gamers. Simply join it before time. Even if you can’t be at your console or PC, you can still join the Fortnite Galactic Battle Finale Event. With Fortnite back on Apple, you can run the event on iOS devices. Android users can also join the Galactic Battle finale.
Even if you’re not in-game, you can still participate through Twitch. A new extension, Galactic Battle, launches on May 29, letting you collect visual Fortnite items while watching participating creators. Collect all the items to unlock five Star Wars-themed Sprays, and if you connect your Twitch and Epic Games accounts, you’ll also get the exclusive Darth Jar Jar Emoticon.
Once your community gathers enough items, creators can launch Takeovers on other Twitch channels, leading to chaotic Star Wars battles right on-stream. Defend your favorite streamer by spamming the “DarthJarJar” emote to stop the attack!
Everyone who contributes to the community goal by collecting at least one item will unlock the Galactic War Loading Screen when the goal is reached.
Fortnite Death Star Sabotage Live Event: What to Expect
This won’t be your usual end-of-season event — the entire Fortnite Galactic Battle Finale Event has been building to this moment. We have followed a full Star Wars schedule this season to reach the final week. Expect full Star Wars chaos, big cinematic moments, and a high-stakes fight to stop the Death Star.
Leading up to June 7, players can participate in the Star Destroyer Bombardment. Starting May 29 with update v35.20, a rift gate will appear in Battle Royale and Zero Build matches on the Fortnite map. Enter it and get transported to a Star Destroyer in the sky. You and your team will take control of its turbolasers, raining down destruction on the map below. Consider the gameplay similar to how Godzilla in Fortnite worked.
If you’re not in the sky, be careful — the Star Destroyer’s cannons destroy buildings instantly and damage anyone caught underneath. There are also free rewards up for grabs. Log in between June 3 at 9 AM ET and June 10 at 6:00 AM PT to unlock the Assault on the Death Star Loading Screen and the Quicksilver Baton Spear Pickaxe, Captain Phasma’s personal weapon.
Get your team together and take over a Star Destroyer with this week’s update. It’s a great way to sharpen your skills and get into the Star Wars spirit before the live finale. The Fortnite Death Star Sabotage Live Event is more than a season finale. The Star Wars season’s final weeks will be full-on galactic war with action across the island, in the skies, and on Twitch. Whether you’re piloting a TIE fighter, raining fire from a Star Destroyer, or collecting limited-time items on Twitch, there’s something for everyone.
Don’t miss your chance to fight back against Emperor Palpatine and sabotage the Death Star on June 7 at 11:00 AM PT. The Fortnite Galactic Battle Finale Event is your last stand. Be there, or be blasted from orbit. Once the live event ends, Fortnite will go straight into downtime for the next season.
