With the Ice King and the Foundation’s conflict ending, Epic Games has introduced the new Runners Battle Pass in Chapter 7 Season 3. • John Wick Pen & Ink Skin

  • The Voidblade Skin
  • Vanguard Doctor Slone Skin
  • Heatwave PJ Skin

The Battle Pass confirms the return of beloved storyline characters like Doctor Slone. Other fan favourite skins like PJ are also receiving a brand new look, with John Wick receiving a Pen & Ink makeover in the new Pass.

Out of all of the POIs, only Latte Landing and Wonkeeland have survived from Chapter 7 Season 2. However, Wonkeeland has now been moved from the northwest part of the map to the northeast corner of the map.

Epic has also introduced three new biomes to the Chapter 7 Season 3 map. This includes a Primal biome, a tropical biome, and a desert biome. The map has the newly reformed Zero Point at its centre, being the core of the cracks in the Island. As Chapter 7 Season 3 unfolds further, the map is sure to evolve even more, with the Dark Voyager and Geno continuing their mission.

Sprites Return

Sprites are back in a big way on the Chapter 7 island in Season 3, serving as the core mechanic for the season. First introduced in Chapter 6 Season 1, these adorable little elemental creatures provide characters with different abilities and buffs. Here is a breakdown of all of the Sprites, their rarity, and what they do:

Rare Sprites

  • Earth Sprite: You have a chance to find additional rare items when opening chests
  • Fire Sprite: Creates a fiery burst when you deal enough damage to an enemy
  • Water Sprite: Replenish shield while in water for you and your nearby Squad

Epic Sprites

  • Duck Sprite: Emoting or Jamming replenishes shields
  • Ghost Sprite: Grants a cloak for a duration upon reloading
  • Demon Sprite: Siphon some health and shields when you eliminate an opponent
  • King Sprite: Your Pickaxe deals more damage

Legendary Sprites

  • Dream Sprite: Grants a random item at each level, exploding with legendary loot at Max Level
  • Punk Sprite: Possibly nothing… or infinitely something

Mythic Sprite

  • Zero Point Sprite: Spawn a Shield Bubble Jr. when you use a healing item on yourself

This season, players have to extract a Sprite before they can use it. Players will have to find a Sprite, take it to an Extraction Site, protect it while it extracts, and then add it to their collection for use in future matches.

New Gizmo consumables are here to help players cut down on the time it takes to extract Sprites. These Gizmos include the Golden Fireworks item, which debuted on Fortnite Community Day. They will occupy the Pickaxe slot right out of the Battle Bus. Here is a list of all of the extraction Gizmos in Chapter 7 Season 3:

  • Portable Extractor: Extract your equipped Sprite from absolutely anywhere on the island. Ideal for locking down that rare Sprite you’ve been hunting.
  • Lucky Locator (Releasing later in the season): Tracks down a buried chest guaranteed to contain a Sprite missing from your collection.
  • Extraction Site Booster (Releasing later in the season): Calls in a special Extraction Crate to buff any Sprite extracted at that location. Warning: this will attract enemy attention!

Gizmos cannot be traded or dropped upon elimination, which means you will never lose them in a fight. Players can complete Bonus Goal quests, trade in Sprite Dust, or level up their Sprite Mastery to unlock more Gizmos.

All New Weapons in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3

A new season is incomplete without new toys to play with. With the release of Chapter 7 Season 3, Epic Games has introduced a ton of new items into the Fortnite loot pool. This includes some weapons themed after the Dark Voyager himself, and potentially powerful additions to players’ arsenals. Here is a list of all of the new weapons added with Chapter 7 Season 3:

  • Surgical Burst Rifle
  • Extending Focus Shotgun
  • Lancehead Pistol
  • Chaos Exploder Rifle

The Chaos Exploder Rifle joins the Chaos Reloader as the second Dark Voyager-themed weapon, packing a punch with its explosive cubes, much like the Cube rifle. Meanwhile, the Extending Focus Shotgun features a longer range than usual, with the barrel lengthening as the shotgun’s spread tightens across a 3-round volley.

The burst meta might finally be back in Chapter 7 Season 3, with the Surgical Burst Rifle arriving on the scene. This new burst weapon boasts extremely low recoil and minimal damage falloff, making it an absolute beast at long-range encounters.

The Lanchead pistol is John Wick’s sidearm, and it features a 21-round magazine. Apart from working like a regular pistol, players can channel their inner John Wick and throw their magazines at nearby enemies when reloading for bonus damage.

Later in the season, Epic will also add the Bank Shot Pistol, which will bounce shots off surfaces to hit your target with ricochet trickshots.

New Item – Seven Sliders

Traversal is about to get a huge upgrade in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, with Epic adding new Seven Sliders to the loot pool. These power boots allow players to slide across the ground, with ADS-ing mid-slide providing a time-slowing ability for a clean shot before launching upwards thanks to the jets.

New Mechanic – Sprite Kiosks

Epic Games has also added a Sprite Kiosks item in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. These will essentially serve as Sprite caches for players, allowing them to find rare and powerful Sprites with ease.

Upcoming Content in Chapter 7 Season 3: Bus Exfil, Shock Rocks, and More

Epic Games has given players an idea of some of the content they can expect later in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. First, there is the Bus Exfil. Epic will soon be adding a mechanic that makes it so there a small chance that the Battle Bus rifts back into the map during some matches. The fun part? Players will be able to board the Battle Bus, and if even one teammate reaches the rift out point in the Battle Bus, it will count as a win for the whole team. This means that multiple teams could get a Victory Royale in the same match.

Players can also expect the arrival of Shock Rocks, a new consumable coming later this season. Shock Rocks, upon being crushed, will allow players to perform three midair leaps. The Chapter 7 Season 3 arsenal will also grow later in the season, with the introduction of the Bank Shot Pistol. Apart from these mechanics and items, players will also see the previously mentioned Extraction Gizmos added this season.

Chapter 7 Season 3 Quality of Life Improvements

Epic Games has also rolled out a fresh batch of quality-of-life updates in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, addressing player feedback. Here is a breakdown of all of the QoL changes:

  • Your equipped Fortnite Festival Aura will now activate and play during your Victory Royale celebration screen in Battle Royale.
  • Audio Visualizer icons for footsteps and gunshots now feature distance-based transparency. Nearby threats will remain fully opaque, while more distant sounds will fade and appear transparent.
  • To better reflect actual audio cues, the detection range for footsteps on the Audio Visualizer has been shortened compared to gunshots, prioritising close-range threats.
  • The Ground Rush skydiving mechanic, previously exclusive to Zero Build, is now active across both standard Build and Zero Build modes.
  • Based on community feedback, Zero Build players can now trigger Ground Rush from any Glider Redeploy state, rather than just initial drops or launch pads.
  • You can now ADS while riding the Battle Bus, giving you a zoomed-in view of the map to easily plan and ping your drop location.
  • A new controller option translates microscopic stick movements (which are usually ignored by dead zones) into direct crosshair adjustments rather than full camera panning, allowing for pixel-perfect precision shots.
  • Public match storm circle timings have been adjusted to keep matches moving and prevent slow endgames. These changes do not apply to Ranked or Competitive modes.
