Will Dragon’s Dogma 2 Come with Multiplayer?
As we mentioned when we spoke about whether Dragon’s Dogma 2 will come with crossplay or not, the game is a complete single-player narrative. As such, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will not have multiplayer. According to a game showcase in 2023, Dragon’s Dogma 2 director Hideaki Itsuno revealed that similar to the original, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be a single-player-only experience. He further mentioned:
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be a single-player game but with Pawns at your side, it will feel like a co-op… You embark on your adventures with Pawns, other worldly being controlled by AI.
So, you might miss being with your friends in Dragon’s Dogma 2. However, Pawns will be there to take your loneliness away in the huge open world. The Pawns will be highly customizable. There will be a main Pawn and two additional support Pawns that will constantly assist you.
You can borrow support Pawns from other players and form up to a four-player party in the game. This adds a layer to Dragon’s Dogma and removes the typical single-player feeling. However, not having friends by your side can make this game a strong contender for the hardest game of all time.
