- Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is free from anything holding them back, giving absolute creative liberty.
- The previous season had to take into account the events of the 2015 Daredevil series, which is why the first season had more of Matt Murdock as compared to Daredevil.
- With nothing holding them back now, Marvel and Disney have the opportunity to bring us some of the best Daredevil action because the current plot certainly allows it.
Daredevil is coming back in 2026 with Daredevil Born Again Season 2, and longtime fans of the hero can’t wait to see what happens next after how the first season concluded. However, when it comes to the first season, several people complained that the show featured a lot of Matt Murdock and relatively less of Daredevil. Now, while there was a fairly appropriate explanation for this, Disney and Marvel are set to change things in Daredevil Born Again Season 2 to bring us the best version of Daredevil we have ever seen on the screen.
Creators of Daredevil: Born Again Have Complete Creative Freedom for Season 2

The Producer of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, Sana Amanat, recently sat down for an interview with Empire Magazine, where she talked about the creative process that went into the new season. She revealed that after the first season, the landscapes are now clear for them, and now they can do whatever they want with Matt Murdock and take the story to their desired direction without any restrictions on creative freedom. In her statement, she said-
“The landscape was open, and that was so liberating, We were like, “We can do whatever we want” “
Now, you might wonder why this is an important detail and where the point of creative freedom comes from. While Marvel and the creative team behind Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 did an insane job with the show, they were still bound by limitations, which I’ll elaborate on in just a moment.
What Did Sana Amanat mean by “We Can do Whatever We Want” for Daredevil Born Again Season 2?
Now, as I mentioned, the creators of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 were operating on certain limitations restricting their creative freedom. The first season had to take into account everything that went down in the 2015 Daredevil series’s finale and carry Matt’s emotional state to Born Again. This was also the reason we saw a lot more of Matt Murdock as compared to Daredevil in the first season.
However, when it comes to Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, the ending of Season 1 leaves the creative team with no such boundary. Matt now realises that New York City needs Daredevil more than it does Matt Murdock. So, this gives Disney and Marvel to really lock in and give us the best of Daredevil, making it an absolute banger with nothing holding them back.
Moreover, it is confirmed that Daredevil will lead somewhat of an army of vigilantes, and Jessica Jones will be a part of it. So, let’s wait and see what happens this time around, and till then, we will bring you any further updates we get our hands on.
