There is no doubt that anime movies are getting the spotlight in 2025. After Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1’s premiere took the world by storm, it’s time for Denji and Reze to steal the show with the Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze arc. The latest CSM movie marks the return of the anime after three years. 1. Denji, the Chainsaw Man
Denji, the main protagonist of Chainsaw Man, joined the Public Safety Agency as a Devil Hunter after Makima recruited him during the events of season 1. In case you forgot, Denji made a contract with Pochita and resurrected from the dead with the devil becoming his new heart. Denji currently works as a member of Tokyo Special Division 4, along with Aki and Power.
Now, in the much-awaited Reze arc, Denji crosses paths with Reze while waiting out the rain. As you might guess, yes, Denji falls for her at first sight. The new movie will showcase how Denji’s new relationship with Reze will take off, and there are plenty of surprises awaiting. Kikunosuke Toya (Choji in Wind Breaker) is returning to play Denji in the Chainsaw Man Reze Arc movie. Moreover, Shiori Izawa (Nanachi in Made in Abyss) will continue to portray the role of Pochita whenever Denji speaks to it.
2. Reze, the Bomb Girl
At the end of Chainsaw Man season 1, Reze’s character was teased by the anime staff as she would become the star alongside Denji. As the movie’s title gives away, Reze’s complete character will be unveiled in the Reze arc. Reze works at a cafe, and she becomes Denji’s new love interest after running into him on a rainy day. If you are wondering who the Bomb Girl is on all the previews, it’s none other than Reze. Yes! Reze is a hybrid devil sent by the Russians to seize Denji’s heart. Reina Ueda (Cha Hae-In in Solo Leveling, Kanao Tsuyuri in Demon Slayer) is voicing Denji’s pair, Reze, in the latest CSM movie.
3. Makima
Makima needs no introduction as she has become one of the most popular faces of CSM after the anime’s debut. She leads the Tokyo Special Division 4 of the Public Safety Agency and is the one who recruited Denji. Makima will continue to be a mysterious girl in Denji’s life and has an important role to play in the CSM Reze arc.
As you are aware, Makima was Denji’s first romantic interest, but Reze will soon snatch that position from her. So, watch out for how Makima will come in between the new couple in town. Tomori Kusunoki (Karen in SAO, Misha in Misfit of Demon King Academy) is also returning to portray the role of Makima in the Reze arc.
4. Aki Hayakawa
Aki Hayakawa is also a Devil Hunter, who is one of the members of the Tokyo Special Division 4. But Aki directly reports to Makima and leads Denji and Power. He plays the supporting role in the Reze arc, where he needs to assist Denji in defeating the new threats, Typhoon Devil and the Bomb Girl.
Shougo Sakata (Johnny Joestar in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and Sensei in Blue Archive) once again will lend his voice to Aki in the upcoming CSM movie.
5. Power
Power is the devil that became a fiend by taking control of the dead body of an unknown woman. The Blood Fiend soon went on to join the Public Safety Agency and became a part of Tokyo Special Division 4. Power completed the shonen trio of Chainsaw Man, along with Denji and Aki, in the series.
Ai Fairouz (Jolyn Kujo in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and Delta in Isekai Quartet)plays the role of Power in the CSM Reze movie as well, but the Blood Fiend will have a minor role in comparison to the first season.
6. Angel Devil
The angels from heaven could also be the devils in the Chainsaw Man series. Angel devil, who made his debut in the penultimate episode of Chainsaw Man season 1, is a devil but carries the form and spirit of an angel. Unlike in the first season, Angel has a big role to play in the Bomb Girl arc.
Maaya Uchida (Riika Takanashi in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!: Take On Me, and Hiyori Iki in Noragami) is coming back to lend her voice to the Angel in the Chainsaw Man movie.
7. Beam
Beam, the Shark fiend, debuted alongside the Angel Devil in the final episode of CSM’s first season. If you are familiar with the One Piece series, you might quickly notice that Beam is to Denji what Bartolomeo is to Luffy. As a long devoted fan of lord Chainsaw Man, Beam goes to any lengths to save his lord.
As an ardent follower, it is the Shark fiend who will primarily assist Denji in order to defeat the Bomb Girl. Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro in Demon Slayer, Okarun in Dandadan, and Ken Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul) is back to voice the role of the Shark Fiend.
8. Galgali
We have yet another fiend on our list, the Violence Fiend, who was first seen along with Angel Devil in the Public Safety’s counterattack against the Katana Man. As his name suggests, Galgali is a fiend who personifies violence over anything else.
Yuuya Uchida (Franken Stein in Soul Eater) is voicing Galgali once again, but he will also have a secondary supporting role in the events of the Reze arc.
9. Kobeni Higashiyama
Out of all the devil hunters, Kobeni, the timid woman, is a poor soul, as she was forced by her family to become one. She was accompanying the main characters, Denji, Aki, and Power, in various missions. Unfortunately, Kobeni will serve only a limited role in the upcoming Chainsaw Man movie
Karin Takahashi, who is popularly known for her role as Suika in Dr. Stone, will reprise the role of Kobeni for a brief period in the Reze movie.
10. Typhoon Devil
The Bomb Girl won’t be the sole antagonist of the new Chainsaw Man movies, as there is another devil set to wreak havoc. People’s fear of typhoons led to the birth of Typhoon Devil, who acts as the secondary villain of the Reze arc movie. He won’t be sharing much screen time with the Bomb Girl, but get ready to witness some tornado powers unleashed.
