Can You Fight the Emperor in Arc Raiders Frozen Trail?

In Short
  • A fallen Emperor ARC enemy is available in the Pendola Pass map.
  • Players can fully explore the fallen Emperor's body, which contains rare loot.
  • It is currently unknown whether players can fight any other active Emperor ARC in the future.

Since the game’s launch, Arc Raiders players have faced various ARC threats, from tiny Ticks to the giant Matriarch. However, the one ARC enemy players have been waiting with bated breath to fight is the Emperor. As the name suggests, it is the biggest ARC enemy (yet) in the game. If you are wondering whether you can fight the Emperor ARC in the ongoing Arc Raiders Frozen Trail update or any future update, here is what we know so far.

Was the Emperor Added to Arc Raiders in the Frozen Trail Update?

Yes, the Arc Raiders Frozen Trail update added the Emperor ARC, but not in the way you might expect. Instead of adding an active Emperor threat, the developers have added a fallen Emperor to the game in the Frozen Trail update.

The fallen Emperor is the major highlight of the Pendola Pass map. As the developers confirmed earlier, players can go inside the fallen Emperor’s colossal body, as it is a fully explorable region. However, players must first craft the Emperor Gateway Conduit key in Arc Raiders and use it to enter the area.

The dead Emperor’s body contains extremely rare and valuable technology such as Amplification Modules, Emperor Modulator, and more. Undoubtedly, this is the best loot spot in the Pendola Pass map in Arc Raiders. Other than the dead ARC, we haven’t spotted other Emperor ARCs roaming the outskirts of the cold mountainous region, just like in the Blue Gate map in Arc Raiders.

Can You Battle the Emperor in Arc Raiders Future Update?

As of yet, it is unknown whether players will be able to fight an active Emperor enemy in the future. Previously, players speculated we might face an Emperor in the Frozen Trail update since the devs teased one. However, only three new ARC enemies in Arc Raiders (Bully, Skulker, and Hydra) were added in the latest update.

In addition, the Arc Raiders PvE Toggle Beta test ran for a week, allowing players to join forces to tackle ARC threats. However, the PvE beta test didn’t include the Emperor, contrary to what many players believed. Since the Emperor is a behemoth threat, it only makes sense if it’s added in a dedicated PvE mode.

Details about the Emperor and its protecting vessel remain shrouded in mystery to this day. In the meantime, do you think players can fight against an Emperor ARC anytime soon? Let us know in the comments below.
