- Thanks to its unbelievable range and firepower, the M87A1 is arguably the best weapon in the Battlefield 6 Open Beta.
- For strong mid-range performance, look no further than the NVO-228E and the SGX.
- If sniping is your priority, then the M2010 ESR is easily the best option.
The Battlefield 6 Open Beta features 15 weapons, each slotting into one of eight different classes. From specialized Carbines to precise Sniper Rifles, the beta’s weapon arsenal isn’t the biggest, but it certainly packs a decent bit of variety. Following the first playtest, a solid meta has taken shape with a few guns sitting at the top of the pile. And to bring out their true potential, you’ll need to pair the firearm with the best set of attachments. With this in mind, we’ve put together a guide on the best weapons and loadouts to use in the Battlefield 6 Open Beta.
1. M87A1

- Top Accessory: 5 MW Green
- Optic Accessory: Iron Sights
- Muzzle: CQB Suppressor
- Barrel: 20″ Factory
- Underbarrel: Folding Vertical
- Magazine: 7 Shell Tube
- Ammunition: Buckshot
Let’s get this one out of the way. Yes, the most basic pump shotgun imaginable is arguably the best weapon in the Battlefield 6 Beta. The reason why is simple as well: it’s broken, and you cannot convince me otherwise. The M87A1 can one-shot enemies from ridiculous distances of up to 20 meters. Beyond that range, it’s typically a two-tap to the body that can eviscerate most enemies.
The range and raw damage potential of the M87A1 are so absurdly high that many players resorted to slapping a scope on top of the shotgun and one-pumping opponents from just about anywhere. When it comes to CQB, there’s no beating the weapon, a point perfectly illustrated by the many alleyways of the Iberian Offensive map. There’s not much tinkering required to bolster the weapon either. Its best attachments include the 5 MW Green laser for hipfire improvements, the 20″ Factory for increased range, and some Buckshot ammo for extra damage.
The weapon will almost certainly be nerfed for BF6’s full release, so enjoy its unrivaled dominance while it lasts.
2. NVO-228E
- Top Accessory: 5 MW Red
- Muzzle: Single-Port Brake
- Barrel: 409mm Fluted
- Underbarrel: Classic Vertical
- Scope: OSA-7 1.00x
- Magazine: 30 rounds
- Ammunition: Soft Point
The NVO-228E gets our nod as the best AR in the Battlefield 6 Beta. Some players might prefer the more stable B36A4, which has almost no recoil, but the NVO trumps it when it comes to raw firepower. It hits extremely hard at close and medium ranges and can melt through multiple enemies in no time. With a scope tacked on and some trigger discipline exercised, you can even pepper away at opponents standing miles away and wear them down with some precise gunshots.
That said, you’ll certainly feel its power in the shape of a vertical kick that can be hard to tame. Thankfully, attachments like the Single-Port Brake, the 409mm Fluted Barrel, and the Classic Vertical Underbarrel can improve both recoil and weapon handling. We also recommend Soft Point rounds for added headshot damage and the 5 MW Red laser, which makes hipfiring a lot more effective.
As for the Scope, the OSA-7 1.00x is great for game modes such as Domination and TDM. But if you’re queuing up for Conquest, we suggest opting for the CCO 2.00x for some extra magnification.
3. SGX
- Top Accessory: 5 MW Red
- Muzzle: Compensated Brake
- Barrel: 6″ Fluted
- Underbarrel: Classic Vertical
- Scope: SU-123 1.25x
- Magazine: 36 rounds
- Ammunition: Soft Point
When it comes to the Engineer class, there really is no better option than the SGX. The SMG offers stability, precision, and formidable TTK in equal measure, making an excellent pick across all game modes and maps. While it’s obviously well-equipped for close-range encounters, the weapon is surprisingly capable at medium-range engagements as well. This is partly due to its low recoil, which can become laser-like with the right attachments installed.
Its effective hipfiring is also worth mentioning, as the SMG can outgun most weapons when ADS-ing is out of the question. When used by an Engineer, the SGX’s hipfire is buffed, which really puts the weapon in a league of its own.
As for the loadout, the objective is to bolster the SGX’s range and minimize its already low recoil. Aside from that, the 5 MW Red laser only strengthens its hipfire capabilities, while the SU-123 1.25x holographic sight fares well in both close and mid-range firefights.
4. M2010 ESR
- Right Accessory: Range Finder
- Muzzle: Flash Hider
- Barrel: 26″ Carbon
- Underbarrel: Low-Profile Stubby
- Scope: S-VPS 6.00X
- Magazine: 5 rounds
- Ergonomics: DLC Bolt
- Ammunition: Tungsten Core
Being the only Sniper in the Battlefield 6 Beta automatically makes the M2010 ESR the ideal pick for Recon players. It also helps that the weapon itself hits like a truck, with ridiculous stopping power that can eliminate enemies from one side of Liberation Peak to another. The long-range rifle can consistently deliver one-shot headshot kills, but you’ll have to contend with underwhelming body shot damage.
Fortunately, attachments can come to the rescue on this front, starting with the 26″ Carbon Barrel for a boost to bullet velocity. Another essential attachment is the Tungsten Core ammunition, which adds a dollop of bullet penetration. And lastly, we recommend using the Range Finder, which improves weapon zeroing and, as a result, long-range accuracy.
5. M433
- Top Accessory: 5 MW Red
- Muzzle: Compensated Brake
- Barrel: 16.5″ Rifle
- Underbarrel: 6H64 Vertical
- Scope: CCO 2.00x
- Magazine: 40 rounds
- Ammunition: Full Metal Jacket
The M433 is the very first weapon most players will use in the Battlefield 6 Beta, but don’t let its status as a starter weapon fool you. The Assault Rifle is incredibly versatile, accessible, and most importantly, packed with power. This is especially visible at close ranges, where the M433 can deliver insane TTK figures, downing one enemy after another at a jaw-dropping rate. Attachments can bolster its range and minimize its rough horizontal recoil pattern, resulting in a well-balanced AR that sits among the best weapons in BF6.
