Unlike the aforementioned titles, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will be more character-driven and less blood-soaked. So, if you’re excited to watch the journey of Duncan the Tall and Egg, here’s the cast and character guide for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms that will help you know every character who will play a crucial role in the series.

Ser Duncan the Tall is the main protagonist of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Born in Flea Bottom, he was taken as a squire by Ser Arlan of Pennytree when he was a kid. Under the guidance of his mentor, Duncan the Tall travelled across different parts of Westeros, serving the high lords. However, when he and Ser Arlan were going to Ashford for a tournament, a tragedy hit them. Ser Arlan dies, and Duncan, also known as Dunk, decides to become the hedge knight to honour his deceased mentor.

Peter Claffey is an Irish actor who got the wonderful opportunity to play the lead role in the anticipated Game of Thrones spin-off. Previously, we have seen him in a couple of projects, including Vikings: Valhalla. However, it wouldn’t be unfair to say that after A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ debut, his career would certainly skyrocket.

2. Dexter Sol Ansell as Prince Aegon Targaryen

Prince Aegon Targaryen is also the main character of the television series. He was the fourth son of Maekar Targaryen, and was supposed to squire his elder brother Daeron at the tourney of Ashford. However, Daeron wasn’t interested at all, so he decided to shave Aegon’s hair so that nobody present at the event would recognize him. Later, when Dunk arrived and came across Aegon, he mistakenly believed Aegon to be a stable boy. Aegon also didn’t correct him and called himself ‘Egg’. He was so impressed with Dunk’s humility that he showed interest in becoming the hedge knight’s squire.

Dexter Sol Ansell is an 11-year-old British actor you may recognize as young Coriolanus Snow from The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Besides that, the other notable projects he has worked on are Emmerdale, The Moor, Robin and the Hoods, Here, and more.

Prince Aerion Targaryen is, first of all, one of the Targaryens who is known for all the negative reasons. He was the elder brother of Aegon, but he was nowhere near like him. He believed himself to be superior to everyone else, and that’s why he loved exercising dominion over others, especially those whom he thought were way weaker than him.

Also, his obsessiveness with the dragons made him believe that he was a dragon in human form, and this thought fuels his arrogance and cruelty. Aerion often tormented Aegon, and that’s why the little prince started fearing him, thinking that his older brother was everything that a prince shouldn’t become.

Finn Benett is recognized for his appearances in True Detective: Night Country, Domina and more. The actor has portrayed complicated characters before, and this time he is about to play someone who is good-looking but has a monstrous personality trait. So, if Finn Bennett succeeds in making this role a success, he will not only make Aerion an unforgettable character of the Dunk and Egg saga but also position himself as one of the most talented actors out there.

4. Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle

Tanselle was one of the most memorable characters from the saga. She was a puppeteer who travelled with her troupe to perform puppet shows at the Ashford Meadow tourney. She had an unusual height due to which she was nicknamed ‘too tall.’ Tanselle turned out to be someone who brought warmth to Dunk’s harsh world. Well, our main protagonist was drawn to her instantly, but not in any wrong way, though. He wanted to keep her safe, and that’s why, when Aerion Targaryen tried to assault her, Dunk was the one to protect Tanselle. Even though Tanselle played a brief role in the story, she left a great impact.

Tanzyn Crawford portrays the character in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. She has previously appeared in Swift Street and Tiny Beautiful Things.
