Riot’s new fighting game, 2XKO, has arrived in early access, and thankfully, it is not as demanding as other modern games. Since the game is exclusive to PCs in Early Access, it is imperative to know if your system can run it. So, without wasting any time, check out the minimum and recommended 2XKO PC requirements.
2XKO System Requirements for PC
The 2XKO Season 0 patch notes revealed that the game will be playable on almost any PC. The official Riot Games page for the game also revealed the minimum PC specs for the game.
Here is a table listing the minimum and recommended PC system requirements for 2XKO:
Component | 2XKO Minimum Requirements | 2XKO Recommended Requirements |
---|---|---|
CPU | Intel Core i7-4790 | Intel Core i7-8700 |
Graphics Card | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 |
RAM | 8 GB | 8 GB |
File Size | 20 GB | 20 GB |
OS | Windows 10 64-bit or higher | up to Windows 11 |
2XKO Download Size for PC
Now that you know if your device can run the game, the next question you might have is— how big is the 2XKO download? Well, you don’t need a lot of space for the game. Most of the games on the Riot Client app are optimized. The 2XKO early access download size on PC will be around 20 GB.
During the Alpha Lab testing, the game’s file size was only 5 GB, with the size growing to around 7 GB during the closed beta testing. So, you can expect the game to require around 10-15 GB of space, with the client needing a little more headroom for installation. Given that new skin packs and battle passes, along with Season 0 data, will also be added, that could go over 20 GB.
While there are no recommended storage sizes or devices, we highly suggest using an SSD to play the game. During our 2XKO closed beta hands-on, we learned that the game runs much smoother on an SSD (especially on NVMe m.2). So, keep one SSD with 20 GB of storage handy for the 2XKO game installation.
Does your PC meet the 2XKO system requirements? Let us know in the comments below.
Yes, 2XKO can run on most modern gaming laptops that meet or exceed the minimum system requirements. If your laptop has at least an Intel Core i7-4790 or equivalent CPU, an NVIDIA GTX 960 or better GPU, and 8 GB of RAM, you should be able to play the game smoothly at 1080p. However, lower-end laptops with integrated graphics may struggle to maintain consistent frame rates.
2XKO fully supports controllers on PC, and I used my PS4 controller during the closed beta. The game is designed as a tag-based fighting game with controller layouts in mind, offering compatibility with Xbox, PlayStation, and most third-party PC controllers.
Yes, 2XKO is completely free-to-play. Riot Games has confirmed that players can download and enjoy the game without paying up front.
