Indeed, in 2020 it is quite difficult to keep your communication secure and anonymous. Personal data has acquired particular value in the eyes of cybercriminals, which is why news about attacks on various instant messengers and e-mails appears almost every day. I’ve found out a Utopia p2p application for myself and I would like to believe that in the near future there will be an absolutely safe communication system.

You’re absolutely right, buddy. I took part in the beta test of the first version of this ecosystem. This is a really cool closed source application, which is especially important to me. I hope that soon, as promised by the devs, a mobile application will appear.

So…. None of these apps have public group chats.
So they are not kik alternatives at all….
The public groups are the whole reason people use kik and i don’t see that mentioned annywhere…

  • Kat says:

This list is terrible. The loops to register on some are insane. WeChat requires you to know someone to verify you, how does that make sense if you are just looking to use the chat with random people feature.

Also giving my phone number is NOT going to happen for any of these app, and wifi numbers aren’t accepted. It’s like the developers are all men that have never experienced the internal as a female. I do not want to hand out my cell number for many reasons spam calls being probably the least of the concerns.

There are many other way to prevent bot from joining your app that do not require me to give out personal contact details that could allow people to find out a ton of information about me.

I agree with Andrea!! That is what I was looking for as well.

  • Andrea says:

I would like a list of apps. similar to kik in which I don’t have to give out my PHONE NUMBER! This is the whole reason kik is so popular, because we don’t have to give our phone numbers to complete strangers.

    • Amber says:

      Exactly!
