In just a few years in the Indian market, Xiaomi has grown from just another Chinese brand to the market leader, by disrupting the entire market. Online sales have been among the major contributors for the company’s sales but it is also concentrating on building a robust offline network for sales too.
To strengthen this aspect, Xiaomi is now offering its budget-oriented smartphone, the Redmi 5 at Big Bazaar. The device will be available at Big Bazaar outlets between April 28 and May 2. But, Xiaomi has not indicated the number of units available, or whether there will be sufficient stock to last for the five days of sale.
Xiaomi had recently partnered with Big Bazaar for the sale of the entry-level Redmi 5A and prior to that for the Redmi Note 4. In case of those devices, however, the duration of the sale was not restricted to a few days.
To remind you, Redmi 5 is available in three variants – 2GB/16GB for ₹7,999, 3GB/32GB for ₹8,999, and 4GB/64GB for ₹10,999. It features an 18:9 display and is capable of beating many other smartphones available in its price segment. The specifications of the Redmi 5 are:
