Why Isn’t Xavier in Wednesday Season 2?

In Short
  • Wednesday Season 2 revealed that Vincent Thorpe pulled his son, Xavier, from Nevermore Academy after he was falsely accused and sent to jail.
  • The boy was then sent to the Reichenbach Academy in Switzerland for higher education.
  • Even though Xavier is not around in Season 2, his note and the painting of the one-eyed crow might help Wednesday solve the murder mystery this time.

Played by Percy Hynes White, Xavier garnered a massive fanfare with his charismatic yet mysterious personality in Wednesday Season 1. He was attracted to Wednesday from their first encounter, and that’s what made fans even more curious about the character. However, Wednesday was inclined towards the Hyde-ish character, Tyler Galpin. So, after Tyler’s real identity was revealed and Wednesday parted ways with him, every fan wanted to watch a romantic angle between Xavier and Wednesday Addams. However, the new season of Wednesday has arrived, but Xavier is nowhere to be seen. So, why isn’t Xavier in Wednesday 2? Let’s dig deeper and find out.

As stated by the newly appointed Principal, Barry Dort, after Xavier was falsely accused of all the murders in Wednesday Season 1, his father pulled his endowment and his son from Nevermore Academy. He then sent Xavier to pursue his further education in Switzerland’s Reichenbach Academy. Therefore, it makes sense why Barry Dort insists that Morticia take over the position of chair of the Gala Fundraising Committee, as it was previously handled by Xavier’s father.

Wednesday looked shocked as she was expecting to meet Xavier at the school after the vacations ended. Although the episode doesn’t reveal much about Xavier’s new school, Gomez says that the school has an excellent reputation in Outcast education, so we now know that our beloved character has ended up in a good place.

Xavier’s journey in Nevermore has ended, and so has the romance element that every fan was awaiting to watch on their screens in Season 2. Well, there might be something good in it. Wednesday is an intellectual individual who excels at her detective skills, and the unnecessary romance angle in the previous season caused a distraction for her.

However, even though Xavier is not there in Wednesday Season 2, the creators smartly involved him in the project. Wednesday received a letter from him and a canvas on which he painted a one-eyed crow. The letter stated that he had seen the crow in his visions, and he had no idea what that meant, but he was certain it was somehow connected to Wednesday.

Xavier also wrote, ‘Who is Wednesday without a mystery to solve?’ So, even though he is not around, we got a glimpse of Xavier in Wednesday Season 2, and that’s enough. Isn’t it?
