If you are a Marvel fanatic, I am pretty certain that you’ve already tuned into the brand new episodes of Ironheart. Now, if you have been watching the series since the day it aired, you would agree that Marvel has been subtly teasing a powerful entity who has been influencing Parker, or The Hood. It was initially assumed that Dormammu influenced Parker, but later, it was revealed that Mephisto was the one pulling the strings. So, if you are not aware who this character is, let me tell you who Mephisto is in Ironheart and the actor playing him in the MCU.
Who Is Mephisto in Marvel’s Ironheart?

Now, whether you follow Marvel or don’t, you would know that Marvel has literal Gods as its characters, so what I’m about to tell you should hardly come as a surprise. Mephisto, as seen in Ironheart, is Marvel’s version of the biblical Devil. However, in his case, he does not reside in hell but in a different dimension where he rules over demons who are the souls of people he had made a deal with. Just like the biblical Devil, Mephisto can look into the deepest, darkest desires of humans and then offer it to them in exchange of a price, which is their soul to add to his legion of demons.
However, the wishes he grants are often in a rather twisted manner. For instance, consider what happened to Parker when he remained under Mephisto’s influence and wore the Hood for too long. Parker lost his friends, his brother, and even his humanity in the pursuit of wealth promised to him by Mephisto.
Who Is the Actor Playing Mephisto in Ironheart?
In Ironheart, Sacha Baron Cohen is playing Mephisto, and there is a good chance that he will carry over the character to the broader MCU. I say this simply because it would not make sense for Marvel to get a brilliant actor like him, who is famously known for the Madagascar and Borat franchises, and also displayed a phenomenal performance in The Dictator.
However, as of now, it’s difficult to comment when we might get to see him again, so let’s wait and see what Marvel has in store, and do let us know in the comments if you think you’d like to see him on screen again.
