Fans knew that Wednesday Season 2 would be a banger, but no one knew what the new season would bring to the table. While it made the recurring cast greet us with thrilling events, it also introduced us to new faces, including Isaac Night. The character played a crucial role in shaping the Addams family’s story, so we can’t wait to tell you who Isaac Night is in Wednesday.
Isaac Night in Wednesday Season 2 Explained

Isaac Night was a scientific genius during the years when Morticia and Gomez Addams were students at the Nevermore Academy. He was born with a weak heart, so he crafted a mechanical heart to extend his lifespan. The one person he truly loved was his sister, Francoise, who was a hyde. So, he tricked his own best friend, Gomez, into using him as the power source for the machinery that could treat her and reverse the hyde-ish abilities she had. However, before he could succeed in his evil plans, Morticia came and blew off the system. Later, Gomez and Morticia buried Isaac under the skull tree, where the latter wanted to bury Gomez.
In Wednesday Season 2, when Pugsley encountered the brain-dead Isaac, he made him his pet and named him ‘Slurp.’ After eating numerous brains, Slurp transformed into a human from a decaying corpse. He also regains his memory and reunites with his long-lost sister and Tyler, his nephew.
What Happened to Isaac Night in Wednesday Season 2: Is He Dead?
Isaac Night kidnapped Pugsley when the youngest Addams was spending alone time in the Nevermore graveyard. When Wednesday arrived at the location to protect her brother, Isaac used his powers to bury the girl in the same spot where he was buried. Later, Isaac, Tyler, and Francoise head to the log tower with Pugsley to use him as a power source. However, things take a turn when Francoise reveals that this time the procedure will be done on Tyler to cure him.
Wednesday and Morticia arrive to free Pugsley from captivity. Our protagonist frees Tyler, whom his mother had tied up for treatment, and then frees Pugsley. The machinery blows up and everyone collapses, including Wednesday; no one receives severe injuries, though. Before they can leave, Isaac shows up and tries to choke Wednesday, using his powers.
Morticia tries to awaken Thing, whom Isaac attached to his right hand after revealing that it’s his hand. Thing gains consciousness and turns against Isaac; it eventually rips off the mechanical heart from Isaac’s chest and kills him for once and all.
