Becoming the most-watched original series on the streaming platform, it surpassed the viewership of TV Shows like Bridgerton and Stranger Things. So, now that the stakes will be higher in the upcoming season, we have no clue what the viewership will be like. So, are you excited to walk down the eerie corridors of Nevermore Academy once again? If yes, here is every detail about Wednesday Season 2 that we know so far.
When Is Wednesday Season 2 Coming Out?

Wednesday Season 2 will arrive in two parts, with the first part releasing on August 6, 2025, and the second part on September 3, 2025. Originally, the Netflix series was supposed to be released in 2024, but due to the Hollywood strikes, the production got delayed, and the release window for the anticipated season was pushed to 2025.
Do We Have a Trailer For Wednesday Season 2?
Netflix gave us a glimpse of what’s to come in the anticipated new season with a trailer on January 30, 2025, featuring brief clips from several shows scheduled for release in 2025. The video teased a shirtless Tyler in shackles and Wednesday standing in front of him at the 1:18 mark of the clip. However, it wasn’t until the first official teaser trailer was released on April 23, 2025, that we got an idea of what we should actually expect from the new season.
The opening scene of the Wednesday Season 2 trailer sees Wednesday undergoing a security check at the airport. When the metal detector beeps, Wednesday starts taking out an array of weapons from her bag, coat, and even from her shoe. After that, the trailer takes us to Nevermore, where Wednesday arrives willingly for the first time.
The trailer is full of eerie events, so without penning down every single event featured in it, we have embedded the video here:
Wednesday Season 2 6-Minute Sneak Peek
Apart from the trailer, Netflix also released a six-minute sneak peek video of Wednesday Season 2. The sneak peek, released during the TUDUM 2025 event, shows us the first six minutes of the upcoming season. In the video, we can see Wednesday being held captive by America’s number 1 serial killer, The Kansas City Scalper.
Apparently, the goth girl spent most of her vacation time honing her Psychic ability, and it’s safe to say that she gets incredibly good at it. She not only tracks down the serial killer but also gets a vision after touching his arm. But that doesn’t land well, as that brief period of unconsciousness allowed the killer to grab Wednesday. But guess what, Thing came out of nowhere and traumatized the killer, which ultimately allowed Wednesday to take pleasure in killing the man.
The Sneak Peek video makes it clear that the upcoming season of Wednesday will be more about the girl’s psychic ability, which also makes her bleed black from the eyes, and less about the teen drama. This is going to be a much darker season that will embrace its horror roots, and we couldn’t be happier about it.
