The season opens up with Wednesday taking revenge on the boys who bullied Pugsley, her younger brother, at Nancy Reagan High School. Don’t you remember how she did that? She released piranhas in the swimming pool during the boys’ water polo practice. As a consequence, she gets expelled immediately from the school. Seeing no other option, Wednesday’s parents, Gomez and Morticia Addams, decided to enroll their daughter in the Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for Outcasts. The school is situated in a remote location, surrounded by a vast jungle in Jericho, Vermont.

After arriving at Nevermore, the Addams are greeted by the tall principal Weems, who used to share a room with Morticia when they were students at the school. After conversing for a while, Morticia takes Wednesday to her room and introduces her to the chubby werewolf named Enid. Wednesday finds Enid’s colorful personality problematic, so she gives her a terrible look. Enid takes Wednesday to give her the tour of the school, while introducing her to the famous students, including Bianca, the Queen Bee of Nevermore.

Wednesday Comes Across Tyler ”The Normie”

The court ordered Wednesday to undergo therapy so that Weems can take her to Dr. Valerie Kinbott for a session. However, Wednesday runs away from there on the pretext of going to the washroom. She then heads towards a nearby coffee shop, where she crosses paths with Taylor, who goes by a normie title. The awkward yet kind boy is the only son of Sheriff Galpin.

The girl then has a fight with a bunch of boys who try to bully her. Sheriff arrives at the shop, and it all makes sense to him when he discovers that Wednesday is the daughter of Gomez, who was once accused of murder. Principal Weems drives Wednesday back to school, and on the way, the girl is stunned witnessing an accident that she had previously seen in her vision.

Wednesday convinces Tyler to help her escape from Nevermore. However, the night she plans to flee changes everything for her. She chases Rowan, the troubled outcast, to the wilderness without knowing that the boy wants to kill her. Rowan believed that Wednesday could cause destruction to Nevermore, so he had planned to kill her.

However, before he can do any harm to her, a monster intervenes and disembowels him. However, the next morning, when Wednesday talks about the murder to the Sheriff, Rowan appears. However, Wednesday still doesn’t believe that the boy is alive. Well, later, we learn that the shapeshifter Weems took the form of Rowan, as she didn’t want to take any chances with the clean image of Nevermore.

Wednesday Addams Uncovers the Nightshades Society

While investigating Rowan’s murder, Wednesday ends up discovering a secret passage that leads her to the hidden library, where she encounters the ‘Nightshades’. The girl’s parents were a part of the group during their time in school. Intrigued by Wednesday’s tenacity, the leaders Biance and Xavier ask her to join them, but she denies. She says she prefers to work independently.

Later, after touching an old book in the library, Wednesday gets a vision of the Pilgrim named Crackstone, who persecuted outcasts centuries ago. She also remembers the man in the picture that Rowan showed him in Episode 1.

Wednesday Learns More About Crackstone

Nevermore Academy students volunteer in Jericho to celebrate Outreach Day. Wednesday was supposed to work at a local shop, but she swapped tasks with Enid, who was supposed to handle the tasks at Pilgrim World. She learns that the people there see Crackstone as a heroic founder.

However, soon she gets clarity when her psychic vision takes her to the 17th century. She witnesses Crackstone’s mob persecuting her ancestor and all the Outcasts in a witch trial in the Meeting House. Before Crackstone’s mob could burn it down, Goody escapes through a secret passage.

Wednesday’s Date With Tyler & Eugene’s Monster Hunt

Xavier likes Wednesday from the start, so when Wednesday enters Rave’N with Tyler, he gets upset. The episode then shows Wednesday dancing to “Goo Goo Muck,” which eventually becomes the standout event of the episode. Besides the Reve’N, the episode also sees Eugene, the Nerdy Beekeeper, decide to go to the wilderness to hunt the Monster called Hyde.

He hides behind a tree outside the cave, where he thinks that Hyde is hiding. Soon, someone arrives at the location and distracts Eugene. When he tries to run, Hyde shows up, attacks him, and leaves him brutally injured. After learning about the incident, Wednesday and Enid rush to the location. The former feels guilty of not being there with Eugene.

Wednesday Uncovers the Gates Family Connection

It’s the family weekend at Nevermore, and the parents of every student, including Wednesday and Enid, have arrived. Putting their strained relationship aside, Wednesday and Morticia team up after Sheriff Galpin arrests Gomez for a crime he was accused of 30 years ago. Morticia reveals the truth that at the 1990 Rave’N dance, Garett Gates wanted to kill Gomez because he had feelings for her, so when she saw that he could kill her beloved boyfriend, she had to pick up the sword and impale him. However, later, Wednesday’s psychic vision unveiled the true story: The Gates family had a never-ending grudge for the outcasts, so Garett’s father sent him to poison every outcast that day. So, if Morticia didn’t kill him, he would have killed every student of Nevermore.

The episode also reveals that after Garrett Gates, his father, hanged himself. His mother also died, and his sister, Laurel Garett, was presumed dead. However, this episode hinted that Laurel might be alive.

Uncle Fester Updates Wednesday About Hyde

Uncle Fester arrives at Nevermore to surprise Wednesday. He tells her about the monster who has been killing the outcasts. Fester tells her that the monster is called Hyde, and he is a type of outcast who needs a human master to control him. Later, when Tyler invites her on a date, Thing gets brutally attacked. Wednesday finds it severely injured after returning, and takes it to Uncle Fester, who brings Thing back to life.

Wednesday has always been suspicious of Xavier being Hyde, so now thinks he is the human master of Hyde because he has drawn the monster several times on the canvas. She gets the boy arrested after finding her photographs and several other things that indicate that he is somehow connected with all the Hyde killings. Xavier keeps saying that he has been framed, but no one listens to him. Galpib puts him behind the bar.

Later, Enid makes her realize that she has feelings for Tyler, so when Wednesday arrives at the coffee shop and shares an intimate kiss with Tyler, she gets a clear picture. She sees a naked Tyler with blood all over his mouth in her vision.

The Final Showdown

While the penultimate episode reveals that Tyler is the Hyde, the final episode sheds light on its master, and it’s none other than Marilyn Thornhill. When Wednesday confronts her, Weems accompanies her in the form of Tyler. However, Thornhill doesn’t take the time to admit that she is the one behind all the killings. When Weems comes in her true form, she injects him with poison and kills her. She also abducts Wednesday and uses her to resurrect Crackstone, who stabs Wednesday instantly. Well, Goody appears and heals Wednesday.

On the other side, Nevermore is in danger as Crackstone has arrived at the school to kill every outcast. Wednesday shows up at the time and kills the evil pilgrim by stabbing his black heart. After that, she tackles Thornhill with the help of Eugene.
