Top 10 Funniest South Park Episodes

South Park is unlike any other show out there due to its unparalleled dark comedy and political satire themes. There’s no latest event, celebrity, or political person who got spared by the South Park showmakers. Each episode of South Park is an experience like no other, and maybe that is why the animated comedy series is returning this year with Season 27. However, if you wish to catch up with some of the funniest episodes of South Park before jumping into the latest seasons, here are some of the best ones you shouldn’t miss.

1. Good Times with Weapons (Season 8 Episode 1)

Good Times with Weapons is one of the best and the funniest episodes of South Park that won’t let you sit quietly even for a second. It is filled with several hilarious events, like when the animated kids start behaving like real-life kids to hide their mischievous acts from their parents. I’m sure you’ve done something like that too.

In this episode, the kids purchase weapons at the local fair and start playing ninja, imagining themselves as anime heroes. However, when one of them gets severely injured, they don’t directly take him to the doctor; instead, the kids get the injured one ready as a dog and take him to a vet just to make sure that their parents don’t come to know what just happened.

2. AWESOM-O (Season 8 Episode 5)

AWESOM-O is another absurd comedy episode of South Park that sees Cartman’s prank on Butters backfire. Cartman disguises himself as a robot called A.W.E.S.O.M.-O 4000 and decides not to reveal his identity until he finds out about the most embarrassing secrets of Butters. After succeeding in his motives, when he is about to open up about his identity, Butters states that he has some videos of Cartman.

The video sees Cartman performing a Britney Spears dance routine and making out with a cutout of Justin Timberlake. The episode gives you plenty of chances to laugh a little harder with the silly and hilarious sequences.

3. Imaginationland (Season 11 Episode 10-12)

Imaginationland spans three episodes, which see Cartman trying to make the boys believe in the existence of leprechauns. Kyle agrees to go in search of the leprechaun, but if Cartman is proven wrong, he must give him $10, and if the opposite happens, Kyle must do something that I certainly can’t disclose here.

This episode is certainly funny, but I think it would be better if, like the rest of the series, it remains undisclosed to any children out there. Yes, the episode is extremely entertaining, but only for the adults who enjoy such dark comedy.

4. Fishsticks (Season 13 Episode 5)

Fishsticks is one such episode that makes fun of celebrities like Kanye West and Carlos Mencia. The episode shows Jimmy coming out with a joke that suddenly becomes a national sensation. Carlo Mencia uses it to make the audience laugh on Conan O’Brien’s show. On the other side, when the joke reaches Kanye West, he is unable to understand what’s so funny about it, so everyone makes fun of him for not understanding it.

Jimmy is the creator of the joke, but Cartman unnecessarily wants to take half of the credit, as he was just present in the room when Jimmy came up with it. You should surely watch this South Park episode, which is chaotically funny.

5. Gnomes (Season 2 Episode 17)

Gnomes bring some incredibly great moments to the table. It also introduces us to a character who is addicted to coffee, and the addiction is certainly fun to watch. Mr. Garrison must do anything it takes to protect his job, so he makes the class prepare presentations on a current event.

The boys partner with a socially awkward kid, Tweak Tweak. He tells them that they should make the presentation on the tiny gnomes who appear at his house at 3:30 am and steal his underpants.
The boys try to stay awake the whole night by drinking the coffee that Tweak’s father serves. Even though the gnomes arrive, only Tweak notices them.

Apart from being funny, this episode also takes several digs at Scientology. After undergoing a personality test, the Scientologists reveal that Stan is depressed, and after that, they also state that he is the reincarnation of L. Ron Hubbard. Even after trying harder to convince him and his parents to cooperate, the Scientologists fail.

Later, Stan also revealed that Scientology is a scam, and these comments outraged the celebrities who follow it.

7. Sarcastaball (Season 16 Episode 8)

Sarcastaball is one such episode that’ll make you laugh so hard that you’ll fall out of your seat. Parents are worried that their children will get injured while playing football, so they are hesitant to let their kids play the game. Keeping that in mind, the school introduces them to a game called Sarcastaball. The sport sees the boy wearing bras and instead of a ball, they must play with balloons. Not only this, but they must also offer compliments and give hugs to the opponents.

8. Best Friends Forever (season 9 Episode 4)

If you’re a gamer, this episode is for you. Kenny buys a PSP, and after that, the entire world appears blurry to him. He keeps on playing a game and reaches the 60th level of it but dies when an ice cream truck runs over him. He then enters Heaven and later Hell. On the other side, Cartman declares himself to be the best friend forever to the Colorado Supreme Court. Kenny fights the minions of Satan and gets a golden statue of Keanu Reeves after winning the battle.

9. Margaritaville (Season 13 Episode 3)

People of South Park are spending their hard-earned money on unnecessary luxuries, and that’s why the economy is falling. Stan’s father sends him to deposit $100 in the bank, but soon the money disappears. The Bank manager explains the current economic condition to Stan’s dad. While the majority of the civilians start to fear, Kyle steps in and starts preaching that there is no reason to be afraid.

The episode not only gives a thousand reasons to stop spending unnecessarily, but it also makes fun of the economic recession to make the audience feel relieved.

10. Super Fun Time (Season 12 Episode 7)

In this episode, a day trip turns into a nightmare when the kids are taken hostage by a group of robbers. Super Fun Time is a hilarious episode that sees Kenny more than any other episode in the season. Regardless, the funniest part of the episode is definitely the historical reenactors at the museum, who, surprisingly, never break their characters. Yes, never, and even the thieves couldn’t make these people break their character with their guns.

Of course, there was one person who broke the character, but guess what? His own employer kills him for breaking the only unspoken rule at the museum. It’s one of those episodes that will make you laugh every time Eric and the other children get frustrated at the museum employees.
