The Penguin has brought to us a perfectly knitted episode 4 and it is safe to say that this series never disappoints. However, a dictating factor of those reasons was that she figured out who was responsible for the death of her mother and in this article, found out who killed Sofia’s mother.

One of the biggest traumas in Sofia Falcone’s adult life was the death of her mother. Initially, she believed that her mother committed suicide. However, later on, when she met the reporter who had been investigating the alleged suicides of seven women and showed Sofia the evidence she had surrounding these deaths, Sofia knew it was not just a suicide. The primary suspect in these deaths was Carmine Falcone. When Oz told Carmine Falcone that Sofia met that reporter, Sofia told her father that the night she saw her mom’s body hanging, she had clear signs of struggle, and her father, Carmine, had scratch marks on his hands.

This proves that Carmine Falcone was the one who killed Sofia’s mother in The Penguin and was also the one responsible for the death of those seven women. However, to make sure that this does not get out, he had Sofia thrown into Arkham Asylum where she stayed for 10 years and came out only after he died. Now, that Sofia has killed her whole family who was trying to get rid of her, she is definitely going to take over the family business and get back at Oz for betraying her twice.

Who Killed Sofia Falcone’s Mother in DC Comics?

There is a lot that has been changed in The Penguin series if we compare it to the original comic books. For instance, Sofia Falcone’s mother was named Louisa Falcone in the comic books while her name was mentioned to be Isabella Falcone in The Penguin. Similarly, the show told us that Sofia Falcone was not The Hangman but it was Carmine Falcone who killed all those women and then framed Sofia for it.

Sofia Falcone’s mother was not killed by anyone in the comic books. She passed away naturally and left behind a beautiful garden of roses in the Falcone Manor which are cherished and taken care of by Carmine Falcone even after years of Louisa Falcone’s passing.
