Thanos in Squid Game: Character Explained
Choi Su-bong aka Thanos was once a famous rapper who lost his fame due to a failed stage performance where he forgot the lyrics of his song. On the other hand, he lost all of his wealth in cryptocurrency. Like Squid Game Season 1 had Jang Deok-Su, the new season featured Thanos as an antagonistic figure. This guy wouldn’t think twice before killing anyone to be the victor. For instance, he pushed two players during Red Light Green Light and happily bid them goodbye when they got shot for losing the round.
Moreover, he was an irritating character who used to take drugs to avoid getting panicked during difficult situations. That’s also the reason why he looked so cheerful even after getting surrounded in the most challenging situations.
How Does Thanos Get Killed in Squid Game 2?
Thanos wanted to get back all the money that he lost, so he never wanted to leave the Squid Game premises without achieving his goals. Hence, whenever the voting took place, he always sided with those who wanted to play the games until the end. One night, Myung-gi confronts Thanos when the latter bullies Min-su in the men’s restroom for not choosing Team 0. In his overconfidence, Thanos also pushes Team 0 and Team X to fight each other, and during the violent act, he gets killed at the hands of Myung-gi.
