Subnautica 2 has one of the scariest oceans out of any game, filled with carnivorous fish and plants that won’t give you an inch of space. But the bigger threats are Leviathans that roam the deepest and darkest biomes. Encountering them can be thrilling or mean instant death. Here is a confirmed list of Leviathans in Subnautica 2, so you can learn about each and start preparing for the encounter.
List of All Subnautica 2 Leviathans
Here is a list of all the known Subnautica 2 Leviathans. We are still updating this list as we continue playing, so do comment below if you have found a Leviathan we have missed here.
Name Biome Collector Leviathan Outer Bounds and Sparse Plains Shiver Leviathan Void World Tree Above Ocean’s Surface
If you want to learn more about each of the Leviathans mentioned above, scroll below. Encountering these sea monsters can mean instant death, so make sure to create the necessary equipment using silver in Subnautica 2 first.
Shiver Leviathan
Shiver Leviathan is a massive fish with a protruding bone skull and pointed fins for stabbing. These are extremely deadly and always hunt in packs. The male shiver leviathans are smaller in size, while the females are huge.
When you come across these in the void, an early access preview area where you cannot build, they will quickly surround you from all sides and will most likely one-shot you. Both the male and female Shivers can be scanned, so visiting them can be worth it.
Collector Leviathan
Collector Leviathan is an octopus-shaped deep-sea monster that you do not want to mess around with. It is the largest known fish in Subnautica 2 and will instantly start chasing you when it spots you.
The Collector Leviathan can be found in the Outer Bounds and Sparse Plains biomes, and it can be extremely aggressive. These roam around alone, and you can scan them in the game.
World Tree
The World Tree is a titan-class Leviathan, and players can find more about it by completing the story of Subnautica 2. The World Tree might be Subnautica 2’s largest Leviathan, but as it is still dormant, you don’t need to worry about it as of yet.
According to the story and the scan reports, World Tree can be found in multiple locations on the map. They are likely going to be unlockable after a later update in the game, so keep your eyes on them for now. With the Subnautica 2 player count going off charts, it may be sooner than expected.
These are all the confirmed Leviathans spotted in Subnautica 2. More will be added as the game receives further updates. Bookmark our post to find the information about all Leviathans in the future.
