Pokemon Pokopia Release Date, Platforms and Everything We Know So Far

Pokemon Pokopia is the new upcoming spin-off game from The Pokemon Company, providing a breath of fresh air for Pokemon connoisseurs. Pokopia diverts from the mainline series games, which majorly focused on a certain main protagonist and their journey. Rather, it introduces a new gameplay that focuses more on building a town for Pokemon, much like SimCity.

Pokemon Pokopia Release Date

Nintendo has revealed that Pokemon Pokopia is scheduled for a March 5, 2026, release.

The release date was made official during the latest trailer, which was an extended version. The game will hopefully be released on the exact date, if there are no signs of delay. If there is any change in the release date, we will update this section.

Pokemon Pokopia Platforms

Pokemon Pokopia will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2. There is no information about the game’s release on any other platforms. However, we expect that Nintendo might make adjustments to the specs and release the game for Switch 1 as well.

Pokemon Pokopia Gameplay

The gameplay of Pokemon Pokopia revolves around a Ditto, which has transformed into a trainer, to help its fellow friends. Your main goal as a Ditto involves rebuilding the town and making it lively again, where once humans and Pokemon coexisted.

Here are some of the key gameplay mechanics that we noticed in the trailer:

• Learn skills from other Pokemon by transforming into them.
• Use the learned skills to build certain parts of the town and expand it.
• Create habitats that meet specific requirements to attract different Pokemon.
• You can grow wild grass, craft furniture and buildings, swim or fly across the area, and make food for the Pokemon residents.
• Complete Pokemon requests, which are like side quests.
• Multiplayer, character customization, and photo mode were also confirmed.

You can expect to see most of the Pokemon from Legends ZA, and if not, then you might find some from TCG Pocket. So far, these were all the details about the upcoming Pokemon Pokopia game.
