Rocks D. Xebec’s Mysterious Face Revealed by Oda in One Piece Chapter 1154

You might not have realized, but it’s been six long years since Sengoku spoke about Rocks D. Xebec, the pirate who the World Government wiped from history books. So, Oda continued sharing Rocks’ image as a silhouette, thus concealing his true appearance. Xebec continued to make an appearance in the manga as a silhouette, including when Kaido talked about him in Wano, the revelation of the God Valley Incident in the Egghead arc, and finally, Loki talking about his visit to the homeland of the Giants in the Elbaf arc.

Well, we don’t have to stare at Rocks D. Xebec’s silhouette anymore, as Oda has finally revealed his complete face in One Piece Chapter 1154. The creator has executed the long-awaited face reveal of Rocks D. Xebec during King Harald and Loki‘s past in the Elbaf arc.

We knew that Rocks was in Elbaf once before, as Loki talked about his idol’s visit to his homeland in One Piece Chapter 1145. Now, the latest chapter showcases Rock D. Xebec and a few members of his crew, namely Shiki, Whitebeard, and Stussy, accompanying him to the homeland of the Giants.

One look at Xebec’s face and even a child could notice that Xebec is related to Blackbeard. Rocks D. Xebec is now officially confirmed to be the father of Marshall D. Teach, aka Blackbeard, in One Piece. Xebec eerily resembles his son, one of the Warlords of the Sea in One Piece, in a lot of ways, including his maniacal wide grin, identical madman’s eyes, gold hoop earrings, and more.

Apart from the similarities, fans noted that Xebec has spiked hair like characters from popular Yu-Gi-Oh and has a prominent scar on his left eye, which makes him look like a character from Dr. Stone. Undoubtedly, this is one of the best character designs sketched by Oda sensei. And I have to say, Xebec does look like a more terrifying version of Blackbeard, doesn’t he?

From his face reveal, it is evident that Rocks D. Xebec is a renowned pirate with a menacing aura, as the manga previously suggested. Seeing the real appearance of the Rocks Pirates‘ captain is a dream come true for long-time One Piece fans.
