With each chapter, it became crystal clear that Loki wasn’t responsible for the death of his father, King Harald. As we saw in the previous chapter, King Harald becoming a full-fledged God’s Knight sowed the seeds for his eventual death. As Harald started to lose control of his own body, he summoned his son and Elder Jarul, letting them know the truth about how his actions began to affect his life’s work.

Without wasting time, Harald broke his silence about how Imu took advantage of his position and was about to enslave all the giants of Elbaf. The only way to prevent this was to kill King Harald. So, Harald wanted his son to let the people learn the truth and then kill him to become Elbaf’s hero. King Harald was ready to sacrifice his life in order to protect the future of Elbaf, which he worked so hard to build all these years.

Even Loki was shocked to see the extent his father was willing to go to save Elbaf. Sure, Harald’s plan in his dying breath was a good idea to lead the next generation of Elbaf. However, Loki didn’t go ahead with his father’s plans as he is currently seen as a mischievous villain in the eyes of the Elbaf giants.

So, what you are currently thinking is right! Instead of following his father’s plan to become a hero and the next king of Elbaf, Loki chose the opposite. He must have put an end to his father, who lost his sanity to Imu, and then accepted the blame for killing the greatest king Elbaf has ever seen.

Loki could have easily become a king if he followed his father’s words. But he respected his father and his work for the country so much that Loki gave up his princely life, sacrificed his throne, omitted the truth about Harald’s inadvertent actions with the World Government. In the end, Loki did protect his father’s legacy, and the very few people who know the truth chose to remain silent due to the prince’s decision.

But we hope that the people of Elbaf can learn the truth about Loki, that he was always a hero, standing up for their homeland. That said, what do you think about Loki’s character so far? He is one of the most well-written characters in recent times. Let us know your thoughts about the Elbaf prince in the comments below.
