Although Rocks knew he was walking right into a trap in God Valley, he did it to rescue his wife and son from the World Government’s hands. Oda has perfectly set up all the various forces taking part in this infamous event in the earlier chapters. After a break last week, the One Piece manga has returned with a new chapter, and it finally focuses on Rocks’ battles against different foes to save his kin, starting with Figarland Garling and the rest of the God’s Knight members.
Spoilers Warning: This article contains spoilers about Rocks D. Xebec and the Holy Knights. Proceed with caution.
Rocks D. Xebec Made God’s Knights Look Weak

The latest chapter, 1162, opens up with Rocks and Garling‘s clash in the northwest part of the God Valley island. Although this fight happened off-screen, it is implied that Rocks fought with one hand against the Holy Knight members while carrying his wife and son on his back. Even when fighting single-handedly (pun intended), Rocks was able to leave lasting damage against Garling and the others. Garling remarked that Rocks was stronger than they expected, and the slashes from his sword were so powerful that they delayed their regeneration powers.
But Rocks had to run as one of the God’s Knight, also had the Domi Reversi powers like Imu, and transformed Rocks’ father and grandmother into devils. After some time, Rocks safely left Eris and Kid Blackbeard in a place to let them escape to the Lulusia Kingdom. Therefore, Rocks was more than ready to face the God’s Knights now.
Rocks swung his sword to create a giant line and warned the God’s Knights that they can’t go any further than here. While we expected to see a full-fledged battle of Rocks vs. Garling this time, unfortunately, the whole fight was off-screen once again as Imu unexpectedly arrived in God Valley.
All the God’s Knights who dared to kill Rocks’ family were lying hopelessly on the ground as Rocks single-handedly defeated them all, even when they ganged up against him. Among the defeated members, Figarland Garling was also seen with a blood-soaked and frustrated face after getting obliterated by Rocks D. Xebec.
Figarland Garling was held high in the list of most powerful characters in One Piece, as he has been continuously teased to be one since his debut. However, Rocks was a monster in his prime, and he has now made Garling and the God’s Knights look absolutely weak in the series.
With the God’s Knights put to rest, Rocks has to clash against the next biggest threat, Imu inside St. Saturn’s body, in the upcoming chapters. Unfortunately, all the roads lead to Rock’s defeat and eventually his death at the hands of Imu in God Valley. But do you think Rocks can cheat his fate? Let us know in the comments below.
