Neither Luffy nor the audience would have believed if someone said our rubbery hero would have a grand fleet with over five thousand pirates sailing under the banner of the Straw Hats. Even though Luffy didn’t want anyone as his subordinates, the pirate crews who were inspired by Luffy’s actions in the Dressrosa arc pledged their loyalty towards the Straw Hats. After sharing sake together with the captain, the Straw Hat Grand Fleet was born with seven amazing pirate crews.
With the final saga underway in the One Piece series, all the members of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet are expected to reappear and play a vital role in the final war. So, let’s meet every pirate crew and their respective members, part of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, in our guide here.

7. Ideo Pirates

Thankfully, Ideo dropped their former title, “XXX Gym Martial Arts Alliance” in favor of the simpler name, Ideo Pirates moving forward. On paper, yes, Ideo Pirates are one of the smallest pirate crews, not just in the Straw Hat Grand Fleet but also in the entire history of the One Piece series. But to be fair, they were formed only recently at the end of the Dressrosa saga.
All four members, Ideo, Blue Gilly, Abdullah, and Jeet, allied and quickly became a part of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet along with the pirate crews. Ideo hails from the long arm tribe and is a two-time champion of the New World Central Fighting Tournament. Blue Gilly, on the other hand, comes from a long leg tribe and is a martial artist who mastered Jao Kun Do style. Meanwhile, Abdullah and Jeet are infamous bounty hunters.
As you can see, this crew is made up of people from different races, unlike other crews you will meet below. Ideo Pirates didn’t even have a ship to begin with, but were luckily gifted one by Orlumbus. We have full faith in Ideo and his crew to rise up as one of the best pirate crews under the Straw Hat Grand Fleet despite their lower member count.
6. Yonta Maria Grand Fleet

- Ship: Yonta Maria
Orlumbus (must have been inspired after Columbus), the adventurer from the Standing Kingdom, was made the admiral of the Yonta Maria Grand Fleet by his king. The adventurer’s path crossed with Luffy in the battle between the gladiators at Dressrosa. After the events of the Dressrosa arc, Orlumbus committed not just himself but also his 4300 crew members to Luffy’s cause.
Thus, Orlumbus decided to resign from his adventurer position and conveyed his wish to the king. Then, the Yonta Maria Grand Fleet became full-time pirates in the vast world of One Piece. As a grand fleet with around 56 ships and 4300 members, Yonta Maria is undoubtedly the largest crew under the Straw Hats Grand Fleet.
5. Beautiful Pirates

- Ship: Sleeping White Horse of the Forest
This may seem odd, but did you know that Cavendish, the prince of the Bourgeois Kingdom, was banished from his homeland for being a divine beauty? Yes, he was pushed out as all the women in his kingdom who were head over heels for him started to refuse all their marriage proposals. When Cavendish walked out, over seventy-four loyal people from his homeland followed him, and thus the Beautiful Pirates were born.
The Beautiful Pirates rose to fame in no time, with their captain, Cavendish, becoming one of the Super Rookies of the New World. When Cavendish and his crew came to Dressrosa to obtain the Mero Mero no Mi, they came across Luffy and soon became a member of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. Although we don’t know much about the strength of this crew, their captain, Cavendish, is a formidable pirate who will strive them to greater heights
4. Tontatta Pirates
- Captain: Leo
- Total Members: 200
- Bounty: Unknown
- Ship: Usoland
Don’t judge the dwarves from the Tontatta Kingdom by their appearances, as they have proven to be strong individuals despite their size. The Tonta Corps, initially formed to overthrow Doflaming,o completed their mission and transformed into a pirate crew with 200 dwarves. Leo, the leader of the group, went on to become the captain of the Tontatta Pirates.
After the Straw Hats defeated Doflamingo, Leo and the rest of the Tontatta tribe vowed to stand by Luffy and became one of the representatives of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. The Tontattas are the only crew in the Grand Fleet who didn’t participate in the battle for Mero Mero no Mi. Recently, Leo, along with Sai, knocked down St. Charlos, one of the celestial dragons in the latest Reverie Incident.
3. Barto Club
- Captain: Bartolomeo
- Total Members: 56
- Bounty: 267,000,000 Berries
- Ship: Going Luffy-senpai
No other character beats Bartolomeo (not even us) when it comes to being the biggest fan of Luffy. Inspired by Luffy’s heroics in the Marineford war, Bartolomeo set out to become a pirate like his idol and formed a crew full of gangsters. The fun fact is that all the members, apart from Barto, are massive fans of Luffy and the Straw Hats, which is evident from their Going Luffy-senpai ship.
Initially, Bartolomeo participated as a gladiator only to win the Mera Mera no Mi and send it as a gift to his idol. Thus, there was no doubt that the Barto Club, the fan club of the Straw Hats, would join the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. Chaos followed everywhere this crew stepped. Recently, Bartolomeo and his crew ransacked Gartel, one of Shanks’ territories, and burned down the Red Hair Pirates’ flag.
Then, of course, they faced the consequences of destroying a Yonko’s territory in the story, where Yasopp destroyed the Barto Club’s ship, and the current status of this crew remains unknown at the moment.
2. Happo Navy Pirates

- Total Members: 1000
- Bounty: 752,000,000 Berries
- Ship: Happosai
Do not mistake the Happo Navy for Marines, as they have the term navy in their titles. They are the second fleet we have here after the Yonta Maria Grand Fleet, but the Happo Navy only has 1000 members. This is one of the longest-running pirate crews in the world, as the captain’s position has been passed down for 13th generations, with Don Sai being the latest captain of the Happo Navy.
As Don Chinjao stated earlier, his grandson Don Sai and the entire Happo Navy were entrusted to Luffy’s Straw Hat Grand Fleet banner. Without a doubt, the Happo Navy, known for their Hasshoken technique, is one of the most powerful pirate crews that will be valuable to the Straw Hats in the final war.
1. The New Giant Warrior Pirates
- Captain: Hajrudin
- Total Members: 5 members and 3 companions
- Bounty: Unknown
- Ship: Naglfar
Hajrudin, who was recently revealed to be the elder brother of Loki, leads the New Giant Warrior Pirates, who are more of a spiritual successor to the mightiest Giant Warrior Pirates. This crew has only five members, namely Hajrudin, Gerd, Stansen, Goldberg, and Road. However, as we know, the giants sit at the top of the throne when it comes to raw strength in One Piece.
Hajrudin got along with Luffy first in the events of the Dressrosa arc, and even though they are a newborn band of pirates, they became part of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. After a long time, the New Giant Warrior Pirates reunited with Luffy as the Straw Hats finally reached Elbaf Island. We are learning new details about the crew currently in the Elbaf arc, and we will be updating them here.
