Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 9.5 Global stable ROM for all Redmi Note 4 users in India. The company had earlier rolled out the Nightly version of the software for select Redmi Note 4 users in the country, but it is only now that the stable version is available universally.
The software was also rolled out to the Redmi Note 5 late last month. The incoming software comes as build v9.5.8.0 NCFMIFA, and weighs in at a massive 1.3GB. It includes the March 2018 security patch, and is based on Android Nougat.
The update comes with a rather long and detailed changelog, although, most of the changes are bug-fixes and optimizations for the most part. There are, however, a few new features, including a revamped start page for the default browser, new Quick Search options, a revamped notification shade, additional sound recording options for the build-in screen recorder and more. It also adds new Quick Dial options and includes a few other tweaks that are expected to make the user-experience better for users.
It is worth noting here that Xiaomi had earlier confirmed that 30 of its devices will receive the new MIUI 9.5 update. The list includes a number of its popular devices from recent years, but leaves out several of its older devices that received the MIUI 9 update. The following is the official list of devices that will receive MIUI 9.5:
