Netease Games has done an exceptional job of accurately capturing the design of Marvel characters in Marvel Rivals. This has made me excited to see what other heroes and villains they’ll introduce in the future. With a new hero promised each season, diehard Marvel fans like me can dream of seeing their favorite characters in the game. With that in mind, I have prepared a wishlist of Marvel heroes and villains that I’d love to see added to Marvel Rivals.
1. Daredevil
Although there are many strong Marvel Rivals Duelists already, we love our DPS characters, don’t we? Well, Daredevil is one of the first Marvel heroes who came to my mind as a solid melee duelist.
Daredevil’s massive fan following and the possibility of introducing the Defenders faction in the game make him a perfect addition to my Marvel Rivals hero wishlist. While the devil of Hell’s Kitchen doesn’t appear in the Marvel Rivals roster at release, it is undeniable that Netease would ignore such a solid Marvel hero.
2. Kingpin
While Kingpin is a bare-knuckle villain in multiple stories, he is originally a part of Daredevil and Spider-Man’s territory. So, with Spidey already in the game, we can expect Kingpin to be the next strongest Vanguard in Marvel Rivals and be a true nemesis.
Kingpin is on my wishlist because of how he can be a solid addition to the slim Vanguard hero roster. Moreover, he brings that raw power that can be a great fresh addition to an ability fest.
3. Ghost Rider
As a kid, I loved playing Ghost Rider on PlayStation. It would be incredible to control this iconic Marvel character once again, especially in a game like Rivals. Ghost Rider’s unique abilities and versatility can make him an ideal Duelist.
Given the game’s current mechanics, he could be a great starting point for the burn damage concept. Although rumors suggest that Human Torch will be the first fire-based character in Marvel Rivals, Ghost Rider will definitely be on my hero wishlist.
4. Professor X
Shifting away from duelists, here is my first pick for a Marvel Rivals Strategist character; Professor X. Xaviers can be a strong contender to be a perfect support character. From the backlines, he can use his telekinesis and psychic shields, while having the Astral Projection power straight out of the comics to provide him the much-needed movement and flexibility.
While Marvel Rivals currently lacks any strong support heroes with stun abilities, Professor X’s potential to fill this gap makes him a perfect addition to my hero wishlist.
5. Antman
While a lot of the fans would love Antman as a Duelist, my preferred role for Lang will be a support. He can enlarge or shrink enemies and allies while having the power to use the ant army. One of the key reasons for Antman to be on my hero wishlist is how he will bring a fun element to Marvel Rivals. Imagine a one-pixel hitbox when he shrinks himself or any other character. Well, that will be something new in shooter games for sure.
6. Juggernaut
I end the list with another Vanguard character to balance things out and who other than Juggernaut when it comes to a solid tank in Marvel? Speed and strength will give him a new dynamic once he joins the Marvel Rivals roster. And that is why I have kept him on my Marvel Rivals hero wishlist.
In the comics, Juggernaut has a Regenerative Healing Factor which can be an ability or passive for him in the game which has a perfect ring to it in terms of a tanky meat shield.
Of course, only six characters do not justify my huge wishlist of Marvel Rivals heroes. So, here are a few other characters I would love to see in the game:

- Cyclops (Duelist)
- Thanos (Vanguard)
- Vision (Strategist)
- Nightcrawler (Duelist)
- Luke Cage (Vanguard)
- Sylvie (Duelist)
- Silver Surfer (Strategist)
- Elektra (Duelist)
