Squid Game: Jun-hee’s Death Explained

Jun-hee or Player 222 dies by suicide in Squid Game Season 3. In episode 2, Jun-hee gives birth to a baby daughter with the help of Geum-ja and Hyun Ju. While playing the game of Hide and Seek, she gets her ankle fractured when she was escaping a player from the red team. To her utter bad luck, the next game turned out to be Jump Rope, in which players had to jump over a swinging rope suspended on a bridge at a height, held by the dolls.
She hands over her daughter to Gi-Hun, who carries her safely to the other side of the bridge and asks Jun-hee to wait so that he can come and rescue her. However, Jun-hee realizes that it would be fatal for Gi-Hun to come back and take her along with him. So, Jun-hee decides to jump off the bridge and asks Gi-Hun to take care of her daughter. Thus, Jun-Hee or Player 222 dies by suicide, in one of the saddest deaths.
