Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 22 has recently been released, and the events in the latest chapter are beyond anyone’s imagination. In this week’s chapter, we see Maru discussing his plans with Yuji, and it seems like Yuji has agreed to work along with Maru on his strange yet ambitious plan. Making sure that the Cursed Energy doesn’t exist in the world isn’t an easy thing to do, but Yuji and Maru think that it is possible. However, they need Mahito’s power to achieve this, which, well, leads to a fight between Yuji and Mahito.
Yuji Completely Overwhelms Mahito in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 22
In JJK Modulo Chapter 22, Maru tells Yuji that he wants to reshape the souls of the Japanese people so the cursed spirits won’t be born. Apparently, the birth of cursed spirits only happens in Japan, so if Maru succeeds, he’ll actually rid Earth of the concept of Cursed spirits. But hey, you realize that we mentioned “reshaping the souls”? Yeah we did, and if there’s anyone who can is good at reshaping the souls it’s Mahito. That is why Maru brought Yuji to meet this evil curse in the Pathway of Spirits.
It’s clear that Maru needs Mahito’s power to complete his plan, but Yuji is sure that Mahito won’t lend his powers willingly. It’s basically Yuji insulting Mahito without even raising his voice (He deserves that, and worse!) Anyway, this triggers Mahito, and he charges forward to fight Yuji. He even changes the entire environment to make it look like Shibuya. Yeah, he thinks that’ll trigger some emotions inside of Yuji.

On top of that, Mahito almost unleashes his Domain Expansion; almost. However, instead of getting anxious, Yuji is calm and composed. And right before Mahito can cast his Domain Expansion, Yuji cuts off Mahito’s tongue and fingers. Yuji doesn’t stop there, and he cuts off Mahito’s body into tiny cubes. And if that wasn’t insulting enough, Yuji asks Mahito if the latter was always this weak. It’s gruesome, bloody, but above all, it’s a pure showcase of dominance.
Now, this short fight between Yuji and Mahito has two purposes. Firstly, thanks to Mahito being cut off into smaller fragments, Maru can use his powers to reshape the souls of Japanese people. Secondly, Yuji couldn’t finish off Mahito in the original JJK series. We were robbed of a proper conclusion to their fight. Well, we’ve got one finally in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.
