The world of John Wick predates even the Baba Yaga himself, and if we put all John Wick movies and shows in order, the first one would be the 2023 TV series, The Continental. The series begins with a younger version of the beloved character of Winston Scott, who finds himself in the criminal World of 1970s New York and seeks to regain control of The Continental Hotel after a team of High Table enforcers takes over the place.

This is the point where it all started for John Wick movies and TV shows. Keanu Reeves appeared in and as John Wick for the first time in 2014, which became his career-defining role. The movie revolves around a man who has just lost his wife, and as a final gift, she left behind a puppy for John.

Just when he starts to bond with the little guy, his past comes crawling back in the face of a robbery and kills his wife’s final gift. At this point, it is revealed that John is no ordinary man. We get to know that John Wick is a retired assassin, but now that he has been poked, he goes on a mission to find the man who had killed his dog.

This movie might seem a bit over the top to someone who does not own pets, but if you have one, what John does to take revenge will make complete sense to you. John Wick is possibly one of the most celebrated action movies of all time, and if you’ve not seen it yet, this is high time that you do.

3. John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017)

John Wick—Chapter 2 takes us to the aftermath of the first movie. After extracting his revenge, John tries to return to civilian life, but once again, his past knocks on his door.

In John Wick Chapter 2, we see that John is visited by an Italian gangster named Santino D’Antonio, who possesses a gold marker. This forces John to do what he asks, compelling him to repay an old favor. Santino gives John the task of killing his sister, who is the head of the Italian Camorra crime syndicate.

His protection services are taken down, and he finds himself with a $14 million bounty on his head. Now, he has to fight his way through New York while he is being hunted by some of the best assassins in the world.

5. Ballerina (2025)

From the world of John Wick, we are quite close to witnessing another gun-fu master in action with Ballerina. To be released in June 2025, Ballerina is set to take place in parallel to John Wick Chapter 3. In this movie, we will see Ana De Armas in the lead, whose mission is to find the person who killed her family and take revenge.

Not just that, Keanu Reeves is confirmed to have a cameo in Ballerina, which makes things even more interesting for the fans. Recently, it came to light that the Mission: Impossible star, Tom Cruise, has already watched Ballerina and loved it, so with his approval, things look rather positive for this movie.

6. John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023)

John Wick Chapter 4 was initially thought to be the final chapter in the story of John Wick, and to be honest, with the way it reached its conclusion, it felt as if this would be the last John Wick movie we would ever get to see. In John Wick 4, we see that John is on a suicide mission to take down the High Table for good. However, it’s not an easy task to carry out.

John is pitched against his old friend Caine, who is sent to kill him because if he refuses to do so, Caine’s daughter will be killed. John Wick 4 not only brings us an action-packed experience, but also an emotional one for fans since it seemed as if John Wick finally met his demise. However, John Wick does not die in Chapter 4, and now it has been confirmed that John Wick Chapter 5 is in the works.
