Is There a New Game+ in Control Resonant?

After years of waiting, Control Resonant is finally out now. Just like the previous game, Dylan Fayden’s story has been fully unraveled in the sequel. Does Control Resonant Have a New Game+ at Launch?

Yes, Control Resonant has a New Game Plus mode at launch, and it gets unlocked once you finish the main story. Therefore, you can start a fresh playthrough right away after you beat the game. Similar to other games featuring NG+ mode, you get to carry over only certain things and abilities you unlocked, which are as follows:

• Aberrant upgrades
• Health and combat ability resource improvements
• Supernatural combat abilities
• Talents
• Artifacts

However, the traversal abilities you unlocked are removed in Control Resonant’s New Game Plus. Since these abilities are essential to story progression, you have to unlock them one by one all over again.

There is plenty of new stuff you can unlock in the New Game+ in Control Resonant, including new Talent Nodes, new ways to chain abilities and Aberrant attacks, a fourth Artifact slot, and more.

As you traverse an evolved version of supernatural Manhattan where foes are significantly stronger, you need to be in your best shape. There is no parry or deflect system in Control Resonant, so offense is the best defense.

How to Start a New Game+ in Control Resonant

As we mentioned earlier, New Game Plus in Control Resonant unlocks right after you finish the main story. So, check out how long it takes to beat Control Resonant and complete the main story once.

Now, if you want to finish the pending quests, side jobs, and stack collectibles, here is how to start a New Game+ playthrough in Control Resonant:

• After you complete the main story of Control Resonant, you can hold the Down button on your controller’s D-Pad to enter ‘The Gap.’
• When you enter it, the Board will talk to you about Jesse’s condition, and a pop-up will appear notifying you that more new nodes have opened in The Gap.
• Head inside The Gap once again and interact with the abilities wall this time.
• Look up at the Hedron drawing and hold the L1 button to interact with it.
• Once you do, a New Game+ menu will appear.
• Press X to kick off a New Game+ playthrough in Control Resonant.
