After a barrage of requests from the community, Warzone Season 5 will finally see the roof of Verdansk’s Stadium open up, allowing players to explore its redesigned interiors. The fan-favorite POI was closed in the original version of Verdansk as well, before a map update got rid of the roof and let players drop directly onto the pitch. While not entirely similar, Season 5 also sees the removal of its roof, but this time, players have to complete a contract to blow it open. There are some important restrictions attached to the contract, as well as some interesting rewards. On that note, here’s how to open the Stadium roof in Warzone.
How to Blow Up Stadium Roof in Warzone
To open the Verdansk Stadium roof in Warzone, you’ll need to find and complete the Satellite Hijack Contract. The Contract is essentially a multi-step mission with some very clearly laid out objectives, but you’ll need to keep a few things in mind. For starters, the Contract will only be available until August 14 in both standard and casual matches. After this date, the Stadium’s roof will be opened permanently, but you’ll miss the chance to watch it blow up.
Furthermore, a total of six teams will need to complete the Contract alongside you, so you’ll have to rely on your opponents to follow the same objective. And as if that wasn’t enough, the Contract is only available for the first 15 minutes of a match. Around the formation of the third-last circle, you’ll spot a 1-minute countdown at the top-right corner of your screen, indicating the expiry of the Stadium Easter Egg.
All these restrictions make the Contract difficult to complete. You’ll also need a bit of luck and hope that the circle forms around the Stadium, and not far away from it.
Warzone Stadium Easter Egg Explained
If you’re ready to tackle the Contract, we highly recommend doing so in a standard Warzone match, and not the Casual alternative. With that said, here’s how to complete the Satellite Hijack Contract:
Locate Orbital Strike Crate
After landing, bring up the map and look for the red icons as seen in the image above. These signify the locations of Orbital Strike Crates, which you’ll have to find and open to grab the Satellite Hijack Contract. Their locations are randomized with every match, and since there are only six of them, expect plenty of enemy presence.
Head to Campsite and get Decrypting Tool
Once you’ve started the contract, an icon will pop up on your screen, guiding you to the location of a campsite. Keep following the marker and investigate the campsite as seen in the image above. Depending on your luck, you’ll find the Decrypting Tool waiting for you at this location, or you’ll need to locate the enemy that grabbed it first. Either way, retrieve the Decrypting Tool to continue the easter egg.
Hijack Relay Module
The final step of the Contract is to hijack a Relay Module. You’ll be guided to its location via another on-screen marker. Interact with it to start a countdown and protect the relay while it hacks into the LSAT. Activating the relay launches a red flare into the sky, meaning enemies nearby will be alerted to your position.
As mentioned earlier, all six Satellite Hijack Contracts will need to be completed to blow up the Stadium’s roof. So, you might have to hunt down another Contract in order to speed things up.
Warzone Satellite Hijack Contract Rewards
The primary reward for completing the Warzone Satellite Hijack Contract is the Enigma Blueprint for the CR-56 AMAX Assault Rifle. Besides this, you’ll also receive the Destination Reached Spray and the ‘When the Sky Fell‘ Calling Card if you survive the orbital strike that blows open the Stadium.
There’s another reward hiding inside the Stadium. Once the roof is open, head towards the structure in the middle, and you’ll be able to find a Weapon Case. Hold on to this case for 90 seconds to unlock the Red Specter Blueprint for the XMG.
