Epic Games has sent players on a wild goose chase in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3, introducing a plethora of adorable Sprites for players to find. Among these, the Duck Sprite in Fortnite not only boasts one of the funnier designs but also has an extremely unique ability that can help players in later stages of the map. If you want to find out how you can get this duck-inspired companion in Chapter 7 Season 3, we’ve got you covered right here.
Where to Find Duck Sprite in Fortnite
You can find the Duck Sprite in Fortnite through regular loot sources like chests, rare chests, fishing spots, and Sprite Chests around the Chapter 7 Season 3 map. Since the Duck Sprite holds the Epic rarity, players are likely to come across it at least once every couple of matches.

However, if you can’t find it naturally, you can focus on the secret Cluster Coast vault in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. This vault holds multiple Sprite Chests and rare chests, and it has the highest chance of spawning the Duck Sprite. You can also try fishing for the Duck Sprite in the water bodies around the map, since you could get lucky and find it while looking for the Fortnite Mythic Goldfish.
If you do end up finding the Duck Sprite and want to add it to your permanent collection, you need to take it to an Extraction Site to extract it back to the lobby. However, if you are in a hurry, you can always use the Fortnite Portable Extractor to instantly extract your Sprite from anywhere on the map.
What Does the Duck Sprite Do in Fortnite?
The Duck Sprite regenerates your shields whenever you perform an emote or use the Jam Track Player in Fortnite. While this Sprite does rank slightly lower on our Fortnite Sprite tier list, it can be a reliable way to top off your health if you are recovering from a fight and do not have any heals available.

Just like all other Fortnite Sprites, the Duck Sprite’s buff gets stronger as you level it up during a match. Here is a breakdown of how the Duck Sprite’s shield regeneration abilities grow with each level:
| Duck Sprite Level | Shield Regeneration while Emoting or Jamming Out |
|---|---|
| Level 1 | 2 Shield per tick |
| Level 2 | 3 Shield per tick |
| Level 3 | 4 Shield per tick |
| Level 4 | 6 Shield per tick |
| Level 5 | 8 Shield per tick |
This means that if you get this Sprite to level 5, you can quickly heal yourself to 100 shield and also extract it to master this Sprite.
All Duck Sprite Variants in Fortnite
