In Short
  • Players can obtain the Dream Sprite in Fortnite from regular loot sources such as chests and Sprite Chests.
  • The Dream Sprite has a higher chance of spawning inside the Mystery Door storage room in the Battlewoods POI.
  • The Sprite provides players with increasingly better loot as it levels up, and it explodes into a pile of Legendary loot at Level 5.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 has no shortage of interesting and unique Sprites that provide players with a variety of benefits. Among all of these, the Fortnite Dream Sprite has managed to be one of the more underrated and enigmatic companions for players. If you want to learn how you can get your hands on it and how to use it to the best of its ability, we have you covered right here.

Where to Find Dream Sprite in Fortnite

You can get the Dream Sprite in Fortnite by looking for it in regular loot sources like chests, blue rare chests, fishing spots, and Sprite Chests found all across the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 map. The Dream Sprite is a Legendary Sprite, which makes it extremely hard to find for some players.

If you are struggling with finding a Dream Sprite, you can actually try a secret spawn location at the Battlegrounds POI. For this, you can follow these steps:

  • Land at the Battlegrounds POI.
  • Collect 500 Gold Bars from chests and cash registers.
  • Head inside the factory building in the eastern part of the POI.
  • Head downstairs.
  • Interact with the Mystery Door button on the wall and spend the 500 Gold Bars.
  • You will then have a chance of finding a Dream Sprite sleeping inside the container.

Remember that the container is random in every match, and not every one of them will spawn the Dream Sprite. However, this is one of the better ways to find this Legendary Sprite. Apart from this, you can always keep trying your luck with Sprite Chests and Golden Fishing Spots.

Once you find the Dream Sprite, make sure you extract it to add it to your collection. For this, you can either navigate to one of the many Extraction Sites on the map or use a Portable Extractor to speed up the process.

What Does the Dream Sprite Do in Fortnite?

The Dream Sprite provides players with loot throughout the match in Fortnite. Unlike the Fire Sprites and the Grim Reaper Sprite, which focus on combat, the Dream Sprite helps players with their loadout as they level it up.

The Dream Sprite, just like other Fortnite Sprites, has an ability that scales with each level, but it follows a different pattern from the other Sprites. Here is a breakdown of how the Dream Sprite’s loot abilities work and how they improve with each level:

Dream Sprite LevelEffect
Level 1Grants a random item (Common/Uncommon)
Level 2Grants a random item (Uncommon/Rare)
Level 3Grants a random item (Rare/Epic)
Level 4Grants a random item (Epic/Legendary)
Level 5Explodes into multiple pieces of Legendary loot

When it comes to mastering this Sprite, the Dream Sprite is quite unique in that regard, too. This is because, as soon as the Dream Sprite hits level 5, it explodes into Legendary loot and automatically extracts back to your collection. However, while this does grant the Dream Sprite the ‘Mastered’ label, it will be reset to Level 1 when you want to equip it again.

All Dream Sprite Variants in Fortnite

Much like most of the other Sprites, the Dream Sprite has multiple Special variants for players to collect in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3. These Special variants add special properties to the Dream Sprite, adding to the base Sprite buff.

Here is a list of all of the Dream Sprite variants available in Chapter 7 Season 3:

  • Base Dream Sprite: Grants a random item at each level, exploding with legendary loot at Max Level.
  • Gold Dream Sprite: Base Dream Sprite buff + 3x bonus XP from eliminations
  • Gummy Dream Sprite: Base Dream Sprite buff + 20% more Sprite Dust upon Extraction
  • Galaxy Dream Sprite: Base Dream Sprite buff + 30% more Ammunition when looting
  • Holofoil Dream Sprite (coming soon): Base Dream Sprite buff + 5% chance for your squad to find rare Sprite Variants from looting chests

The latest variant for the Dream Sprite will be the Holofoil Dream Sprite, which will be added on July 9, 2026, as part of the New Sprite Day Fortnite event. As the season progresses, Epic will also add more Special variants for all the Sprites in the game, including the Dream Sprite.
