How to Get Comet Igniter in Arc Raiders

Embark Studios just released the massive Arc Raiders Shrouded Sky update, introducing a ton of gameplay-altering mechanics like a new map condition, a new Raider Deck, and much more. Among the new additions is the Weather Monitoring System Project, which requires players to collect parts from across the game’s many maps.

One of these parts is the Comet Igniter, a new recyclable crafting item that players can acquire by taking down a specific enemy. If you are looking to make the most of the Arc Raiders Shrouded Sky update and contribute to the new player project, here’s everything you need to know about finding Comet Igniters.

How to Get Comet Igniter in Arc Raiders Shrouded Sky

You can only get Comet Igniters by fighting and taking down Comets, one of the new ARC enemies added with the Shrouded Sky update. Comets are metallic, rolling spheres that feature a similar look to the Pop and Fireball units.

While the Comet does not look too challenging at first, don’t be fooled by its small size. The Comets have a lot of health that you need to burn through before taking them down. Additionally, a Comet Arc locks onto players once they are spotted, which makes it difficult to outrun them. If a Comet catches up to you, it will explode in a huge seismic blast and destroy the Comet Igniter within it. So, to prevent destroying the Comet Igniter, make sure to eliminate the Comet before it explodes on its own.

Where to Find Comets in Arc Raiders?

You can find Comets on every single Arc Raiders map except for Stella Montis. This is because the Comets crash down onto the map from the sky, and since Stella Montis is an indoor map, it is impossible for them to reach it. This aspect of the Comets can work in your favour, as it slightly narrows down your search area by removing indoor spaces or underground tunnels from the equation.

Here are some of the hot spots where you can have a higher chance of running into Comets in Arc Raiders:

• Buried City: In the area north of the Plaza Rosa POI. While it is a spawning ground for Bastions, the area also has high-traffic of Comets.
• Dam Battlegrounds: Near the Control Tower POI.

If you are having trouble finding a Comet, make sure to keep an eye on the sky for ARC trails that these enemies leave behind when landing. Additionally, you can also rely on audio cues by listening for a distinct mechanical ‘honk’ sound when a Comet is nearby.
