The FIFA franchise makes a return this year with FIFA 18. While there are a number of talking points regarding the game such as the return of the Journey mode, better career modes, a re-engineered Frostbite Engine; another great talking point is the number of skill moves you can execute in the game. As always, dribbling is a strong factor for any football game, and FIFA is known for supporting tons of skill moves within the game. One of the most talked about skill move is the “El Tornado”, that is also featured in FIFA 18’s official trailer. What is the El Tornado Skill Move in FIFA 2018?

The El Tornado is a special skill move present in this year’s FIFA. It’s basically spinning the ball over your foot, and flicking the ball upwards into the air, preparing it for a volley. You can see the move being advertised in the official commercial trailer for FIFA 18 below:

Who Can Perform the El Tornado Skill Move?

Only select players in FIFA 18 can execute the El Tornado skill move. These players are Cristiano Ronaldo, Antoine Griezmann, Dele Alli, and Roberto Carlos. EA Sports have given the trait to execute the skill move to only these 4 players. That being said, FIFA states that as footballers prove they can El Tornado in real life, their virtual likness will unlock the skill move in FIFA 18.

Note: You can perform the move natively on a PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, or Xbox One. Alternatively, to perform the skill move on PC, you’ll be required to connect a gaming controller, such as the Xbox 360 Controller or the Logitech Gamepad F310.

Performing the El Tornado skill move is actually quite easy. To do so, on the PS4, simply hold down the L1 button, and move the Right Analog Stick Upwards and Sideways (corresponding to the direction you want to move the ball to). Similarly, on the Xbox One, hold down the LB button, and move the RS Upwards and Sideways.

For example, suppose I want to replicate the exact move as shown in the FIFA trailer. There, the ball moves to the left of the player. Hence, my key combo would be moving the RS upwards and then towards the left. And as you can see, I was able to execute the move quite easily a number of times:
