Who is Elio in Honkai Star Rail?
Elio, aka Destiny’s Slave, is the leader of the Stellaron Hunters. Every member of the Stellaron Hunter follows Elio’s script to fulfill their destiny and avoid a future that could be catastrophic to the universe.
It is assumed that Elio is an Emanator of Finality, which gives him the authority to glimpse at possible futures.
This power is also what he uses to prevent the Theory of the Four Apocalypses, with the help of the other members of the Stellaron Hunters. The Dahlia ‘Constance’ previously mentioned that Elio possesses a special existence, with his true identity revealed to Stellaron Hunters alone.
Elio is an extremely important character in Honkai Star Rail. The IPC’s wanted poster for Elio also forbids harming him, specifically mentioning capturing him alive. Compared to that, every other Stellaron Hunter has a ‘dead or alive’ label on their wanted posters.
Elio’s Face Revealed in New HSR Trailer
Players had been hoping to get a look at Elio for a long time. And today, during its third anniversary livestream, Hoyoverse may have just fulfilled every HSR player’s desire with its new MAPPA-made HSR anime trailer.
A mysterious new figure has been revealed in the new Honkai Star Rail trailer, and it is likely none other than Elio himself.
Why do I say that? First, we see him only interacting with the Stellaron Hunters, which is a clear hint of their connection. Next, we see the character’s eyes, which have the names of all Aeons rotating in a circular orbit. With Elio being the only one who is known to have a vision of the future, such an eye can only be his in Honkai Star Rail.
Will Elio Become Playable in Honkai Star Rail?
In HSR, Elio is one of the most important characters, and he will definitely make an appearance in the game soon.
However, will he ever become playable? Currently, there is no confirmation or even any leak that mentions Elio as a playable character. He was considered to be a cat for the longest time, and only recently did we start thinking of him as a person.
It’s safe to assume Elio will become a playable character someday, just from a marketing point.
