Highguard, a brand new PvP raid shooter, is set to release on January 26, 2026, and while only limited info is known about the upcoming free-to-play title, the devs have announced a special launch day stream to offer a deep dive into the gameplay, as well as year-one plans.
When Highguard was revealed at The Game Awards 2025, players were quite skeptical about how the gameplay would play out, as it looked quite unique from the live service shooters out there. However, now that the game is closing in on its release date, one question is on everyone’s mind: can their PC run Highguard? If you’re one of those, we’ve got the full Highguard system requirements for you right here.

Here’s a table that lists the minimum system requirements you need for your PC to install Highguard from Steam:

| GPU | NVIDIA GTX 1060 6 GB / AMD RX 580 8 GB |

Highguard Recommended PC System Requirements
Here’s a table that lists the recommended system requirements you need for your PC to install Highguard from Steam for best performance:
| Component | Minimum Requirements |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows 11 (64-bit) |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-9600K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 |
| Memory | 12 GB RAM |
| GPU | Nvidia RTX 2080 8 GB / AMD RX 6650 XT 8 GB |
| DirectX | Version 12 |
| Network | High Speed Broadband Internet connection |
| Storage | 25 GB available space in NVMe SSD |
| Secure Boot | Enabled |
| TPM 2.0 | Enabled |
Highguard’s minimum and recommended system requirements are on the mid-tier side of PC gaming, as it does not require a beefy processor or a GPU to run the game on your machine.

Furthermore, the 12 gigs of RAM that’s needed for optimal performance is a standard for live service games like Fortnite as well, so that’s a relief to know that the game won’t be too heavy on your device. However, enabling Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 can be quite a hassle for some players, as it often adds an extra layer of protection, as it helps safeguard against cheating programs by only allowing trusted software to load during startup.
How Much Space Do You Need to Install Highguard?
You’ll need at least 25 GB of space on your PC’s hard drive or SSD to install Highguard from Steam. Unfortunately, the game won’t be available on the Epic Games Store on launch day, so Steam is the only launcher you’ll be able to run the game from.
Furthermore, on consoles like PS5 and Xbox Series S|X, you’ll have two options to play the game, which feature quality and performance modes for you to choose from. As of now, we’re unaware of how much space consoles would need to install Highguard. We’ll update this section once we have more info.
So, will your PC be able to run Highguard? Let us know in the comments below!
